This video has been created in a paid partnership with The Perth Mint.
It's not every day I get invited to make a video about 2 of my favourite topics - coins and James Bond movies, so I'm a bit excited!
Are you a James Bond fan? If so, there’s probably an important question you want the answer to.
No it’s not who is my favourite Bond or even which is my favourite movie… No one has a good answer to these questions!
The most important question is why has James Bond never come to Australia? It probably says something about what a nice country we have, after 25 films and almost 60 years, 007 has never come super villain hunting in the land Down Under.
However, that is about to change.
With the new James Bond film, No Time To Die coming out this year, it’s the end of an era for Bond fans. This is the last Daniel Craig film, and the end of an era. To celebrate this amazing 25 movie run, James Bond is coming to Australia in style.
The Perth Mint has just released an exciting new collection of James Bond coins, and they've shown me a copy of the first month's coins to check out.
Unlike previous 007 coins, these coins are coloured and celebrate each individual film from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig.
These coins are designed for collectors and the low mintage reflects this - there are only 12,007 copies of each coin being produced, so it could be a challenge to acquire a complete set.
As you can see, this is a set you’ll want to complete.
The good news is that the Perth Mint has a promotion Where you can get all the coins plus special folders to store the coins in as part of a subscription from now until next year. This subscription starts in April and if you jump on board now you’ll be able to get all the coins starting with the first two movies Doctor No, and From Russia With Love.
If you’re a subscriber, There is also the option to acquire special coins along the way which will not be available elsewhere.
Now you will be able to buy the coins separately after the promotion has started, but they may not all be available - especially for the popular films. So if you’re a Bond fan, I recommend getting started with the subscription so that you can guarantee that you receive all of the coins plus the folders.
It’s always hard to complete a coin set, so take advantage when they make it easy like this.
