Nice list. I beg to differ on one thing. Telly Savalas was a great Blofeld! Telly Savalas' Blofeld killed Tracy Bond! That earned him a higher place on my list.

It was actually Irma Bunt that killed Tracy Bond, Blofeld was driving the car. It is all opinion though.

@@kingrex1931 Good point. To me, Telly Blofeld was more badass than many on the list above him. I would have still ranked him higher.

I feel that Telly Savalas' version has gravitas and I can see him commanding an international crime ring. SPECTRE is essentially a Mafia-style organization. They murder, terrorize, intimidate and extort various people, just like the Mafia, but on a global scale. And it's fitting to see a version who's not only a criminal intellectual, but.that has a tough, enforcer-like presence, and is a physical threat as well. No one would wonder why he's so feared. He's a cultured thug.

@@jbjones07 The character was already defined within the Bond cinematic universe, and it made little sense to have him portrayed vastly differently than he had already been portrayed. I don't think Savalas did a bad job with the role, I just don't think he was a good choice. I'm pretty sure that he acted in the role as the director wanted him too.

@@kingrex1931 Good points. I kinda like to watch the films like a TV series; I see the change as a sort of progression, in my mind. You look at the minor changes of Blofeld even before Pleasence came to portray the character. He always wore a dark three-piece instead of a Nehru suit, and he wasn't bald in From Russia, With Love or Thunderball. I can see after YOLT that since he had been seen by both Bond and Tiger Tanaka, he could've immediately changed his appearance via plastic surgery, even somehow clearing up the scar. I see Blofeld as always becoming some sort of master-in-disguise, changing appearances (even tweaking his mannerisms, lol) each time he's been defeated and chunks from his financial treasury are ruined. No, it did not make sense for Bond and Blofeld not to recognize each other when they had met two years ago. But it also didn't make sense in DAF for Bond and Blofeld to not acknowledge what Ernst had done to Bond at the end of the previous movie, (if it's even viewed as a direct sequel). And he has hair again in that film, only to lose it once again in FYEO. I kinda think he's like Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor (I think I won't wear the toupee, today, lol) This series has always had levels of character inconsistencies, even when the first five actors who played Bond are supposed to be the same character. But I could see little snippets of character evolution; Bond changing, for good or for worse, as he goes on. 'Connery's Bond couldn't defuse an atomic device in Goldfinger, but Moore's Bond did a bunch of bomb defusing in The Spy Who Loved Me and Octopussy. Would love-em, leave-em Connery's Bond been that affectionate to the likes of a Kara Milovy or an Elektra King? Would devil-may-care Moore's Bond have gone on a zealous revenge mission like Dalton did? Connery's Bond in YOLT claimed he had a mastery in several Asian languages, but Brosnan got intimidated by a typing panel filled with the Chinese alphabet (maybe he's a little rusty, lol).

It has more to do with the fact that there were so many good villains in these movies more than anything else.

Goldfinger is one of the worst villain imo. Even Oddjob his henchman is more memorable than Goldfinger. My top 10: 1. Alec Travelyan (006) 2. Raoul Silva 3. Red Grant 4. Franz Sanchez 5. Blofeld (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) 6. Scaramanga 7. Zorin 8. Kananga 9. Hugo Drax 10. Le Chiffre Alec Travelyan (006) and Raoul Silva are the best villains. Xenia Onatopp is the best henchwoman. Here is my top 5 of henchmen/henchwomen: 1. Xenia Onatopp 2. Jaws 3. Oddjob 4. Dario 5. Necros Yes, for me Red Grant is a main villain

It's all a matter of opinion, but I think Goldfinger/Oddjob was one of the best Villain/henchman combos in the series. To me Telly Savalas didn't fit with what we saw from Blofeld up to that point in the series. If he had been an all new villain, he would rank higher for me, I just think he was a poor choice as Blofeld. I have Red Grant as a main henchman, he was obviously working for Rosa Klebb in From Russia with Love.

@@kingrex1931 Goldfinger is overrated and not much of a threat to Bond in my opinion... He only wants gold. I prefer an antagonist who is a threat to Bond and is super powerful like Bond. Alec Travelyan (006) and Raoul Silva are definitely the best in my opinion I know Red Grant was working for Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love, but we barely seen her and Red Grant was by far a much better antagonist lol...

​@@bouya642 Goldfinger comes as close to killing Bond as any other main villain in the series, so I don't see how he is less of a threat than the other villains. He is only out to make money, but that is all Max Zorin, Franz Sanchez, Le Chiffre and Elliot Carver are out to do as well. I think the fact that he looks like he could be anyone's uncle is a great setup for a villain. He's an everyman that many would overlook. I also like that he has unique schemes as a villain. We don't always need someone that is out to destroy or remake the world. The fact that he cheats at golf and rummy because he can't stand losing adds depth to his character. If you want to talk about villains that are outshined by their own henchmen, Alec Travelyan and Hugo Drax are two of the first ones that come to mind.

@@kingrex1931 Great opinion and I almost agree, but I strongly disagree about Alec.. Alec Travelyan (006) and Xenia Onatopp were both awesome... Sean Bean as Alec Travelyan was so good and the fact he were a 00 agent made Alec Travelyan my favorite Bond antagonist... The fight between Bond and Alec is so intense and well done .. Red Grant vs Bond in FRWL was an intense fight and probably my personal favorite fight in the entire franchise.. Silva is my second favorite villain.. It would be great if you can do a 25 james bond movie ranking
