I'm 50 years old and and to watch this as something we once had make you just break down and cry real tears. How could we squander out talents. Why wasn't this torched picked up by other talented people. I know some of the answers and it may be a little to deep for some people out there to understand but I swear, I'd give anything just to see our people perform on this level again. A short answer to what I mentioned is, WE DON'T SUFFER ANYMORE. You would have to be in the movement to understand where I'm going with that.

It ain't NEVER coming back brotha!! Not until the black woman resumes her place in the home as the NURTURER & CARE TAKER.... and the man resumes his place in the home as the FOUNDATION, SUPPORTER, PROTECTOR & THE PRIMARY EXAMPLE for the children to look up to and use as a guide post through life. Every black SUPERSTAR you saw back in the day talked about his FATHER did such & so with him to get him started. Prince's father played the piano and sang... and Prince saw this and wanted to be like him. MJ's father pushed them into showbiz (although he was an abusive a$$hole)... and made them learn to play instruments. JB's father bought him his first harmonica, and that little 6 cent harmonica got James interested in music. Hell... look at Venus & Serena - their father got them into tennis!! Look at Tiger Woods - his father got him into golf. So the father is the KEY!! But as long as the WOMAN remains as the sole authority, provider & motivator in the family - then it's OVER!! Women SUPPORT whatever system is in place - they don't CHANGE it - which is why white folk have their corporations FILLED with black women in KEY positions. Plus - if he plays boss-man plays his cards right while they work for him... he can usually "tap" that! So it's up to THE BROTHA!! We can have it all back - as soon as we step up and TAKE IT --- and STOP getting with these overbearing tyrannical violent black women who refuse to step back and let you do what you are supposed to be doing as a man! Wanna talk about it more? For more in-depth discussions, check out my KZbin channel (Dimension X) and feel free to discuss these topics and more in Bak2blak.net - AX

I'm 55 (who cares) and the problem is that most that we get to see, are our people no longer, like Mooney says, black is the mew white, the real talented amongst us are either signed up , shelved and the style and music is been given to a non talented puppet, and if they get a chance,, they're not allowed to mention our situation, or push money in the community ! And another thing is were are you going to show your talend , they are closing all music hall's and pool rooms, in to those non smoking waiting-rooms. Plus those Black lives matter'ers spoiled it (and I'm sure tat was one of their main points on their agenda ) and had no plan, just to ridicule our struggle , by staging scripted events, , and if they are fake shot good, they might become a ''ghetto youth - gangster, if mum agrees with coming home after Ten

He was awesome. He used to pull up beside me sometimes in Augusta in his classic red Thunderbird always wearing a black suit and kinda humped over the steering wheel. James Brown was most certainly the hardest working man in show business.

For those who don't know, that's a young Bootsy Collins (minus the weird glasses) on bass directly behind James and his brother Phelps; doing the guitar solo. Quite a performance, not only of "It's A Man's Man's World" but "Soul Power" and "Get On Up, Get Involved, Get Into It." One can easily see where today's rappers get their call-and-response audience interaction but when you're the best, you can expect others to take from your notebook!

Woah! Did he just introduce a young William Earl "Bootsy" Collins?!!! 2:19 - Rising to prominence with James Brown in the early 1970s, and later with Parliament-Funkadelic, Collins's driving bass guitar and humorous vocals established him as one of the leading names in funk Bootsy ... another legend! James was NEVER greedy letting talented cats show off their talent!
