@@ganeshn9464 I agree except I don't quite feel "tense" when Pavarotti sings. He just has less motion because he is very centered, and he sings in a completely different style-classical opera style. It really teases the imagination to consider the possible reactions this performance would have had in the US a few hundred years ago, not considering the lyrics, which obviously in large part would have been unintelligible for the people of time, but rather the conceptual essence, groundbreaking combination of musicality and intense emotion of the performance.

@Giant Face Bork Laser Same goes for Pavarotti who has done many colabs! I respect his great courage as an opera singer to traverse other genres, something you wouldn't expect from someone with the background in opera and musicals; you'd beileve to be conservative more than anyone. Likewise i'm astonished how well someone seemingly _outside the genre_ can accompany and complement the other singer and song as a whole. This one collab is imo my favorite example of this, probably because I love both worlds of the _reggie vibe_ and _classical opera_ .

So that I'm not alone and he was sure that mom could have time to pick me up without running scared. This was one part of your dad brother husband or friend. Every time I listen to this masterpiece, it's like witnessing a historic moment in music all over again. Pavarotti and James Brown, two legends from vastly different musical worlds, coming together is nothing short of magical. Their collaboration transcends genres, blending soulful American rhythm with the grandeur of European opera. As a young person with a deep appreciation for good music, this performance never ceases to give me goosebumps. It's a reminder of an era when true talent shined, and these icons set the bar incredibly high. Whether you're old or young, this is the kind of content that unites people through sheer musical genius. You can feel the mutual admiration and respect between them, a pure expression of artistry. This isn’t just a song; it’s a powerful message delivered through soul-stirring vocals. I find myself coming back to this video every day, and each time, it feels like a new experience. @@tinyb69 You are right. Frank Sinatra made two or three albums where he conducts a orchestra. If one player was out out of tune he pointed him/her out. But with JB and Pavarotti I meant perfectly in tune musically, with all the feelings of both legendary vocalists. I just adore how opera was so comfortable with R&B.

As a 19 year old who listens to a variety of music i have to admit this is by far the best collabo i ever heard. I love Rap but nothing comes close to these 2 legends singing together. I just started listening to Luciano Pavarotti and his voice is angelic. Sadly he is already dead.. i would've payed so much to hear him live.

I was lucky to see his recital at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Vegas (of all the places in the world!) back in 2003. LP~ was very snobbish towards his audience to my big surprise. It ruined the kind of impression I had watched from late Maestro on TV. "No KZbin in those days"
