It's funny because when MJ spoke about JB that's how I felt about MJ. My mum would wake me up when I was about 6 or 7 to watch him perform on TV.

I remember when this came on TV . I was 12. James Brown was a great artist legendary, But I wonder why no other singers beside MC Hammer who was inspired by him didnt come to the funeral. But when I seen MJ come thru I was like that is Michael Jackson. He came to show respect and support to the person who inspired him. Its crazy he was the other one who came thru. MJ a real one frfr ..little did I know MJ would be gone in 3 years smh . Lost them too quick. #RIPToLegends

He was James Brown's right hand man back in the day from the 1950s through 1973. He was the one who helped James Brown get his start because James Brown was in prison. Less than a year later, he passes away after James Brown in 2007 if you have a chance, look up songs like sex machine, soul power, and others. He backs him up. Basically like his hype man.
