Band is tight as ever and as you can see he's up in age but he's still giving it his all. I'm sure at this point there are certain songs he won't even try to sing cause his voice is not what it use to be because his style of singing..over the years it will take it's toll..one of a kind rip.

It seems that everyone on the stage is determined to give a great show. The Soul Generals sound great, and the finish, with JB on organ, is reminiscent of the old days...almost like trading jabs with Maceo.
@martybrynildsen74149 жыл бұрын
For those who hadn't seen JB in those last days, the physical appearance is startling...BUT...THERE HE IS, running the show...presiding over all on stage. The Godfather...as raw as ever, and working very, very hard. I looked forward to seeing him, locally, late in December. As his health deteriorated, the date was cancelled, although he still wanted to make it to New York for New Year's Eve. Rest in Peace, my friend.

i had the pleasure to see Mr. Brown at around October 2006 in Finland. The band and James gave a killer gig i remember the rest of my life. It's a man's world was very special with deeep soul, meaning, and profound message of James's maybe knowing he wouldn't be here anymore soon... appreciate the women, and each other. He really was the hardest working man in show business, and the baddest funky cat there is.
@ketonyakelandarobinson20075 жыл бұрын
Literally, there are tears in my eyes as I watch this video. James Brown spent a lifetime proving that he deserved the title Godfather of Soul. He truly was the "Hardest Working Man in Show Business" and here he was, near death and as sick as he would ever be in his life, yet he showed up and showed out. From beginning to end, he was non-stop action, including some of his signature moves. I'm crying because, at the silly age of 26, I have complained about my life and the shit that gets on my nerves only to sit here and watch a man who came from nothing and carved out his own niche in this world to become the best at what he did. With a sunken in face and a depleted body due to his illness, he came out there and showed everybody that he would not cheat the audience out of their entrance fee. He gave them the best show they could have ever imagined and he was classic James Brown. Rest In Funky Soul Heaven, Godfather of Soul. You truly are the best that ever did it and my idol and hero.

Did this man know how to put on a show!!!!!!!! Right up to 2 months before his passing. This concert is absolutely amazing. Less physical activity from him, of course, but still 100% the professional producer of excellent entertainment. AND he certainly never lost his powerful voice. And "YES" - he certainly knew how to get his audience to " FEEL GOOD " - right to the end. Thank you Mr Brown, thanks to KZbin l can now really appreciate what you gave the world. RIP

I have his last appearance in Nov 2006 at the UK hall of fame awards and he sang I feel good for the last time and the last thing I heard from him was let's clean up the music clean up the lyrics and take these kids to a better place and that the last time I saw him alive until on Dec 25 2006 my mother called and asked why I didn't come home then she said oh by the way James Brown died and I said which one? and she hung up the phone before I got an answer so I turn on the TV and there it was the news about him then later that day I taped the news all day and night and I heard that AL sharpen was gonna bring his body to the Apollo theater on Thursday Dec 28.

Makes me sad coming from his younger videos, seeing such a force of energy running on fumes, but what a run he had. Effervescent, indefatigable and defiant to the end. Can tell all the attitude, showmanship, moves and spirit are all still within him and he's willing, just his body isn't up to it anymore. What a life and there'll never be another. Most musical man of the 20th century, he embodied it.
