I saw James Brown at T in the Park festival in 2005 ; he was 78 at the time, and he gave a better and more energetic performance than every other band I saw that year. A true legend.

One of favorites by James Brown. He was called "The Godfather of Soul". There will NEVER be another James Brown. He always put his heart into every performance.

This was in Zaire in a concert connected to the Ali/Foreman fight. And yea that move with the mic where it landed behind his neck was on purpose. I saw Mr. Brown live about 100 times since 1971 until 2005. And over a dozen time’s in 1974 and he did mic tricks like that all the time.

@@MinuteSciMagicshorts I have no reason to lie “bro”. 😂🙄 I’m on the James Brown FB pages and everyone knows I’m one of his biggest fans. He has been my all time favorite entertainer since 1968 when was 12. I’m 1974 (and 1973) I saw him at THE APOLLO THEATER in Harlem every day for a week. I have every album and 45 he ever made and I’ve met him 5 times. Had lunch with him and his entourage in 1980 at the Stage Deli in NYC and I’m the”Paul” in the James Brown chapter in the 1982 book on soul music NOWHERE TO RUN by Gerri Hirshey. And my wife and I drive to Augusta, GA for his funeral when he passed away on Christmas Day in 2006.

Fantasy Concert Prince opens, MJ follows while Prince plays all of the guitar solos like Beat It and Dirty Diana. JB closes with Prince playing rhythm and maybe some drums.
