Democracy. Surely anyone is allowed to show their beliefs. I am a Loyalist, Protestant, Rangers Supporting Unionist, but have no problem with anyone displaying their beliefs. Surely that is what makes us a nation to be proud of. I am not talking about any aspect of "the troubles", just being fair to all . .

+Rab Gersfirm If you really had something to criticize you'd take a swing at Connolly but I would guess that's beyond your ability. Imagine if the republican bands gave a perfect recital of all their songs - If for want of a better word the drumming was 'perfect' - I guess then you'd have nothing to criticize 'cos you're such a musical purist it's really the drumming that irks you not the politics on display! If that's your game then maybe relocate yourself to the DPRK where every performance is perfectly in-time!

Slinky Malinki James Connolly, the man himself history tells us he wandered Edinburgh Joining every Radical Group he could in between beating up his wife After leaving the Royals. He would try to take over leadership of these groups get turfed by them and he would take it out on his wife. You would have to go some to get done for wife beating in those days but he managed it. Moved to Dublin carried on normal Jogging joining groups etc etc

Why imitate, (really, really badly!), a Loyalist Flute Band?? Can they not learn to play a decent instrument, like the Bagpipes, ffs?? Connolly was very fond of the Pipes, and they are in Scotland after all......Plastics all over the world have adopted/copied the Scots Pipes Bands, but NOT the Plastics in Scotland??? Very strange, and rubbish!

Haatchii No, they didn't! The Highland Pipes, (mouthblown pipes) are far far older. The Uillean pipes developed from the English 'pastoral pipes' or Northumbrian pipes, and are a 19/20th Century development. You can't walk and play the Uillean pipes though.....same reason you don't get cellos in a marching band, Pmsl!!!
