To an extent... but it feels very 15minutes of fame-y. They messed up 3 times in a row on a food allergy. That isn't the same as getting someone diet pepsi instead of pepsi. You can't expect someone to remain that civil over 3 food allergy eff ups in a row. I understand that it isn't the server's fault (unless they entered something into the pos incorrectly) but I personally think the ban was overkill for what transpired. It wasn't like he flew off the handle over a spilled drink and made a scene-- he made a snide comment after repeated frustration over a pretty serious mistake made multiple times.

There's literally a list of complaints about James from the past 15 years, all of them about him being completely unreasonable and unbelievably rude. I even know people who met him on the set of a league of their own and said he was pure obnoxious to the production staff and any fan who spoke to him. It's been known around the UK and Ireland that he's been like this for years. He's lying through his teeth here and I'd have more respect for him if he'd just admit he needs to reevaluate how he treats people and needs to work on himself rather lying to everyone on national television. Nobody is buying this, he's not one bit sorry to that staff he mistreated, he said earlier this week he did nothing wrong - he's sorry he got called out.

Cross contamination between white and yellow will always occur. If anyone is allergic, the risk is monumental for them because it's almost impossible to separate them conclusively. Also, if they're allergic on part of the egg, they would still be allergic to the other. This is so lame.

Restaurants will put up w a lot especially when it comes to celebrities and they are use to diva type behavior so for a restaurant to ban someone?? This is a huge risk for them bc they are risking other celebrities not coming to their establishment . So to me, he had to have been wayyyyyy bad for them to ban him and doing so publicly. And apparently it seems cordon has had a long history of being a major ass, so he’s just another one in the long list of celebrities who come off looking nice and relatable but it’s fake and not the truth and he treats people in real life poorly. This is not the full story at all. A restaurant of this caliber would ever do this without very very very good reason.

While it's possible that he didn't act as badly as tabloids (and a lot of people) speculate, I also don't believe that this "high end" restaurant in LA, whose staff must have a lot of experience dealing with celebrities (talk show host himself included), would ban him just like that for saying baby level mean things like I could've made this myself.

Yes, it’s a thing. Some people have allergies to egg whites, but can tolerate the yolk. His reaction was terrible, though. I wouldn’t order that if I was her because it could be cross contaminated with the egg white pretty easily unless I was the one doing it.

Adding to it being a food allergy, at a high end restaurant, the server not taking initiative the second time to make sure it was right. If he really just said he should cook it himself, what is mean about that? When did the truth become mean. What’s wrong with taking pride and being a professional at what you do. I worked in a restaurant for years as a kid and into my 20’s. As a cook, I would of been more pissed off at myself for making the mistake the 1st time. As an expo, I would of been mad at myself for missing it the 1st time. As a server I would of double checked after the 1st time going back since I trusted the other to do their job and they failed. I would of lit the cooks and expo up because they are messing with my tip and after the 2nd time I would of told the manager to help get it out right. As a restaurant manager, he could of nipped it in the bud by over seeing what was going on at least after the second time. After a third time, they would be considered an unprofessional unmanaged clown show and I bet the manager spoke out to get ahead of any bad publicity.

Y’all acting like you ain’t never been in no situation where you out eating, or at a drive thru. And you had a lil moment but to you, you know you don’t really mean no harm, you just hungry, you been waiting, your fries cold, or something and although your response may not be ideal. But to the employees they gone say you’re the rudest or nastiest when in fact you weren’t or didn’t feel you were. But to apologize for having a human reaction to their food not being correct or something in their food is insane. We all respond differently. Some people may just let it slide. Me personally, I wouldn’t. And that’s ok. But James apologized and I’m glad he took it back after realizing he did nothing. It’s a restaurant, hair don’t belong in food. And poison don’t either. As a customer James had a right to complain just as well as the employee had a right to report James just because he’s complaining about food at a restaurant and for the inconvenience, requested some extra items. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. People are just really weird and do not have a logical mind. They only have an opinionated, convincing type of mind. Where they try to convince you what’s true based off how they feel and what they think, when logically thinking explain what is known. I don’t know if James was the NASTIEST or as rude as they say, those are opinions of his character and a story that may not really match who he really is or even be true. But an employee has a handbook that states they supposed to protect their employees not give the nastiest customer a second chance. Like logically thinking, if there’s a handbook that has those rules, and if James was the nastiest and people are emotionally distressed from His behavior, why not ban the problem so there’s no more incidents then? He didn’t shout and restaurant’s would wait until their videos inside the restaurant expires so the real evidence will be destroyed because we can read body language of the nastiest customer.

Instead of mounting a defense disguised as an apology, Corden should have simply walked out and said he was deeply embarrassed by his behavior and terribly sorry. Period.
