I think it's really cute how interested James is in his brother and how he ends up interviewing Dave instead of the other way around. What I find interesting is how they're practically polar opposites. James can handle public appearances and interviews better while Dave tends to get more nervous. Yet in life as a whole, Dave prefers to be laid back and anonymous while James is incredibly active and doesn't mind the social media attention. It's also just interesting to see James's mind work. I mean the dude literally cannot grasp the concept of chilling and doing nothing. The guy has a shit ton of degrees, his own acting school, he's a professor, director, writer and actor. Like wow. I think it's so interesting to see how different both brothers are. You can tell Dave was an all-around easy-going guy who always put on a smile and had a lot of friends even when he was a child. Plus, he's more laidback and likes to sit around and be lazy. James is highly intelligent (not saying Dave is), but his mind is always working. The is THE best interview of James Franco. I've seen it 5 times so far and I never get bored. It's funny, it's real. Dave and James are very comfortable with each other because they're brothers which makes their joking around even more enjoyable. They are 7 years apart, me and my sister are 5 years apart and I can find their relationship in this video relatable. My sister and I are not the closest and have our own separate lives, but unconditionally love, believe and support each other. We both share the same interests in art, and as an older sister much more passionate in it, she majored in Fine Arts, as for me, I kept my talent as a hobby.
