I think leaving SBG was the move but to go to the gym he is at now isn't much better for him. He needs a ATT, AKA, Greg Jackson, Sanford, Elevation. Even smaller gyms like alliance, MMA labs, and Xtreme coture would fit him. He won't progress that much where he is at, Krause and his team are just ok.

I don't think he's developed much in the way of a personality or character.
