Although you might expect that James Gunn will be bringing out a better Superman with red boots and the nostalgic factor, this article isn’t about Superman. It’s about Clark Kent’s partner Lois Lane and the actresses that have portrayed the character.
It was the year 2013 when iconic star Amy Adams made her debut in the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s 2013 film Man of Steel. Starring alongside Henry Cavill, the world didn’t seem to mind Adams’ portrayal of the character.
That doesn’t necessarily mean that they also enjoyed Cavill and Adams’ on-screen chemistry. After her appearance in the 2013 film, Adams reprised her role in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She did play a pivotal role in the film.
On the other hand, fans felt that her character was allegedly used as a tool to further drive the story. Several people claimed that Amy Adams’ Lane was shown as a character who would simply be a catalyst for Superman.
However, a new rumor on James Gunn’s upcoming DCU flick Superman seems to hint that Rachel Brosnahan’s portrayal of Lois Lane is far superior to Amy Adams from the DCEU!
It is no secret that the world is indeed waiting for the release of Superman and that James Gunn has kept the whole world anticipated with the teaser trailer of the film.
Recently, the director was under fire as some people claimed that Gunn did not know how to write female characters well. We proved them wrong and this rumor is more evidence in Gunn’s favor.
That’s some intimidating rumor indeed. It would be pretty tough to see a Lois Lane better than Amy Adams but with director James Gunn in charge, anything is possible in his realm of Gods and Monsters.
