@@MrBlackknightyYou haven't been watching basketball lately. The 76ers without Harden have the best record in the league so your wrong on the Clippers needing him. The 2nd part that your wrong on is them needing him in the playoffs. Everybody including James Harden knows he does not perform well in the playoffs particularly in big games either leading a series or elimination game. Harden is one of the worst playoff performers as we again saw last postseason in Game 5, 6 & Game 7 he was a no show. He did not score in the fourth quarter in 32 total minutes across Game 5, Game 6, and Game 7. We all want to point out the time either Paul George or Leonard is injured, Harden is the replacement. Didn't we see this with the Lakers gambling on Russell Westbrook? Wasn't he supposed to be that guy that replaces Lebron or Anthony Davis during the time they get hurt? Not only did Westbrook not fit well, but he was a disaster when Lebron and Anthony Davis missed alot of time. He could not even lead the Lakers any where. What I saw was a player that has reached his limit and Mr triple double only cared about his stats. Now you have Harden and Westbrook on the same team. Yikes! I really feel sorry for the Clipper fans.

If I was the coach, I would split the roster in half. Pair up Westbrook with George, and Harden with Kawhi. You let Westbrook/George start one game, then Harden/Kawhi would be in the second unit. Then the next game, you switch. Let Harden/Kawhi start, then Westboork/George in the second unit. This will work perfectly, cus all 4 of them are old, and by rotating the split roster, everyone gets to play, but at the same time play less minutes. Perfect opportunity to load manage, without missing any games. And you can mix and match depending on how the game unfolds. So many oppurtunties, it's a wet dream for coaches. The problem with James Harden is his game is so ball-dominant, he has to lower team chemistry and the flow of the offense. As soon as he enters the offense, he's like a black hole. Like Carmelo Anthony, you throw the ball to him and it doesn't come back out. If he gets an assist, it's not by design. He doesn't flow with your offense, he resets the offense, around himself.

He’s a ballhog passer, and yes there is such a thing. He’s not the kind of passer creating ball movement for the team overall, that’s why his teams have often been low in team passing and team assists per game, since the ball is only sticking with him for such long periods of time. True great passers pass in a way that allows ball movement for the team as a whole.

Disagree, T.O. was the problem in Philly. McNabb won two playoff games without T.O. to get the Superbowl. T.O. had seven catches in the Superbowl and who was throwing him the ball.? He had zero RAC yards because he wanted to play on broken foot taking away catches from receivers that could have actually ran with the ball. McNabb was actually on point with his passes in that game if you really watched it. FOH with that tired narrative.

I am just happy for the 76ers! Finally Maxey got the room to reach his full potential and become the 2nd Star... Maxey and Embiid could be such a big duo, as Kobe and Shaq was and become a serious playoff contender with a great deep bench and other super useful starters like Tobias and Oubre! If anything Philly could do is get a good 6th man, a good shooter or a technical player like Jamal Crawford was for the playoffs.

The Sixers were always going to give Maxey a max deal next summer or at a minimum the Tobias money. They just wanted to use his low cap hold to create maximum cap space. It’s the whole team! It’s not a select few. Guys are able to flow naturally on the court without such a ball dominant force. That’s the nature of being that kind of ball player. You get some really high scoring games from Harden, here and there, but production wise..there is none 🤷🏽‍♂️
@Hooderaw
@Hooderaw 6 ай бұрын
100% agree. Harris is now allowed to get rhe ball at the top of the key like he did in Orlando and the clippers where he is dangerous. He couldn't do that with ball dominant Simmons and harden who needed to play their way and everyone else had to adapt to their style. Maxey passes the ball around like rivers wanted harden to do last year and he shoots like he wanted Simmons to do.
