He had a lot of moments that go unappreciated, but that hit on Pocock that began a 3-0 series win over Australia was special.

Humbling and funny. Someone who gave it everything. I was in the Stade de France for the Grand Slam decider. Fantastic memory of a great team.

The man is so much more than a “former rugby player”. Haskell was the first pro player I ever met at my local club, and as a 13/14 year old I truly thought he was a giant from another life form. 17 years later, this year, he was the first pro player my daughter ever met and went above and beyond for a photo. Grew up watching his career unfold in real time, and alongside big Sergio from Italy, will remain one of the best 8s the worlds ever seen 👊

Absolutely dig your banter and sincere love of the game. 2 questions- Did NZ make you feel you were you an English mole at the Highlanders ? How did you rate the Boks throughout your amazing carrier ?

Wearing stash makes you look sad. Looking back now it's hard to disagree. Wearing my oversized thick heavy KENT training top to lectures comes to mind.

Like all former players turned pundit, Haskell is getting tiresome. Surely “World Rugby” has other things to do. Maybe teach their officials (all four of them!) what an offside line is.
