OMG I don't believe I found someone else who asscociates these bagpipes with 9/11. I saw Braveheart for the first time on 9/10/01 on a VHS tape and I couldn't get the soundtrack out of my head the whole day and night. The next day when the towers fell I was still thinking about it. Especially the Gift of Thistle theme. It will always remind me of September 11th. So sad and melancholic.

When I listen to this I understand why I always were so fascinated by the celts when I were a kid/ teenager. They have honor and they love their freedom. And they never gave up despite all the sorrow and pain they had to deal with. First the Romans and later England. Hundreds of years of torture, murder and death. And yet they never surrendered. These people truly are one of the bravest and most honorable who ever walked on God's green earth. May He bless all the irish,Scottish and Welsh people. God between you and all harm.

One time I was standing on a cliffside overlooking the ocean and the sunset. It was truly beautiful. I played this song and my inner feelings helped me take it in. It’s truly something that makes me appreciate the beautiful earth and works outside of our own imperfect life. To realize the beauty in the world that’s always been there while we deal with our own challenges. That same day I lost a friendship earlier due to a breakup. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through since I’ve done so much for her and she threw me away for her own issue.
