If you don't cry when you watch Braveheart you don't have a heart. This song is so deeply touching and beautiful. When I listen to this I understand why I always were so fascinated by the celts when I were a kid/ teenager. They have honor and they love their freedom. And they never gave up despite all the sorrow and pain they had to deal with. First the Romans and later England. Hundreds of years of torture, murder and death. And yet they never surrendered. Here it is January 19th 2025, everytime i hear this song i burst into tears. My father loved brave heart and loved highlander history went to scottland wore a firefighter custom made kilt, use to take me and the family over to highlands fest. this song especially the movie version was always one of his favorites. He passed away almost 4 years ago. I miss that man more than anything, everytime i hear this song i can picture his faces he would make humming along.

OMG I don't believe I found someone else who asscociates these bagpipes with 9/11. I saw Braveheart for the first time on 9/10/01 on a VHS tape and I couldn't get the soundtrack out of my head the whole day and night. The next day when the towers fell I was still thinking about it. Especially the Gift of Thistle theme. It will always remind me of September 11th. So sad and melancholic.

One time I was standing on a cliffside overlooking the ocean and the sunset. It was truly beautiful. I played this song and my inner feelings helped me take it in. The milk thistle is my favorite flowering plant then aloe vera I ain't much for flowers I use to love sunflowers but they've lost their shine to me and lilies love lilies water lilies in the water ya take em out they aren't correct to me, but now a thistle pink and healing parts is all a God sent thank you Lord for your gifts. In Jesus sweet name I pray you hear my gratitude over everything else I say or think today, I appreciate it, and am not deserving of it, I need it thank you for loving all of us, and sharing it with me, I hear you.
