Did you know that at the beginning of his career as a musician he only wrote and played instruments on other people’s recordings because he did not believe himself to be such a good singer?He also wasn’t more proliferous with studio albums because he wanted to do more R&B like Luther Vandross , but Quincy Jones kept telling him that he would be more successful as a crossover pop vocalist. Turns out Quincy was right. The pop charts showed James more love than the R&B charts did. JMO but he was destined to hit big either way.

I only recently discovered these two gifted artists. I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr Ingram’s death. My son is a physican and he cares for patients with brain cancer. I had a good friend, we worked in the same company, that i had a crush on in 90s, and he didnt even know it. He was separated fron his wife that time. He is a good singer. One time we have a gathering in one of my friends house singing karaoke and out of the blue he asked me to sing a duet with him, that song. We sang it beautifully together and we connected, like we're lovers. One night, my land lady called me that i have a visitor, when i came out, there he was, holding a rose. He professed his love that night, but i turned him down, reason that he cant marry me and i was afraid.
