There is another reason irish pepole love this track. Our state TV company, RTE uses this as the theme for a sports show called the Sunday Game. It features gaelic games, gaelic football, hurling and camogie (hurling for women)

In Spanish one of the two different versions is Quero Cantar by Licia. In German it is called Jägerlatein, sung by Wencke Myrrhe. All versions are from 1968, including the instrumental in this clip. The original is in a potpourri on the James Last LP (vinyl) Non Stop Dancing 68. When I lived in Ireland I always wondered how in Irish this song is. When I see the Irish partying here I do understand. James Last was a genius in making people happy by his music, like Andre Rieu now and Bert Kaempfert before James Last.
