Yeah. Whoops.
When I first heard this song (thank you, ‪@warmhearth‬), I immediately knew I needed to edit it. When I looked at the lyrics, I knew it needed to be a Jily video, no doubt. But I did have a little bit of a gripe with the song's quality, and that ended up playing into it. A video that played off of the quality, using it as a kind of VHS look, really spoke to me. And paired with the lyrics, it only made sense for it to be of the life they never got to live together.
It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing, living as a finished project for a couple of months before I finally decided to polish and post.

NOT PIM STONES 😭😭😭 pim stones music always makes me weep and paired with this heartbreakingly melancholic concept it's basically a death sentence. so, thank you for this. or not... I can't believe you just,,,, uploaded this. no four weeks notice, no warnings. you simply woke up and chose violence (at least it feels like this to me). when I first watched this just now, I sat there with an open mouth all the way through. it's been so long since a video struck me this much. every single manip is spectacular and it amazes me how you can physically FEEL the love they have for each other. these two fictional characters brought to life through two complete strangers put together by your wonderful editing. this one (like many others before them) went straight to my favorites. I will be watching this many many times in the future and probably cry over it. btw that last scene turning from black and white to colored again... HOW DARE YOU? hitting us with reality after all those wonderful wonderful moments from an alternative universe?! that's cruel. very cruel. (and genius)

I am at a loss of words for how beautiful and haunting this is, oh my god Zoe asjdasbhdbas The music, your manip game and your voiceovers!! The atmosphere is very haunting and while I never read the books, their story is very intriguing and sad. The way you manage to add on to these characters and make them your own is quite magical.
