I always get so sad thinking about the Marauders. They would have done anything to protect each other and at the end of the First Wizarding War, it’s so painful to think about how Remus must have felt knowing that Lily and James were dead and that Harry is orphaned and thinking that Peter was dead and Sirius betrayed them. Those were the people who acted as his family, even learning how to become animagi, so that he wouldn’t be alone. And he did end up alone for a long time.
