James Mullinger asks the stars to pick their favourite James Bond!

When Sam Mendes' Bond movie Skyfall starring Daniel Craig was released in 2012, James Mullinger was tasked by GQ magazine to ask the stars to pick their favourite Bond! James teamed up with his schoolfriend and television and film collaborator Mark Murphy to ask Hugh Grant, Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Channing Tatum, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer, Russell Brand, Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, Cuba Gooding Jnr, Matthew McConaughey, Paul Giamatti, The Muppets, Simon Pegg, Mary J Blige, Tim Burton and even Bond Girl Eva Green to choose their favourite Bond!
It was a heated debate with votes for Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Daniel Craig and, yes, George Lazenby.

I'm surprised by the amount of love for Roger Moore. He really wasn't that bad at all. My personal fave is Timothy Dalton, tho, who was the right Bond at the wrong time.

You’re so right because if you took those two movies and you put them in a theater at different times of the year, believe me, they would make some money because look at how Daniel Craig‘s bond is being praised and also John wick but you’re right and then I was watching goldeneye and I was like thinking that there is something wrong with this film and then it hit me like a ton of bricks cause I went back and I watched the living daylights and then hit me. Goldeneye was Timothy‘s movie if he stayed and it was a bummer

Timothy has always been my number one. Pierce continued the fun ride and was probably his best performances. Going back, Sean was just before my time and I grew up with Roger as the Saint and moreover in the Persuaders, so he is a sentimental favourite. George was really good and his Bond story was well written. As for Daniel, I could not get into him, sorry guys.

I as a kid when my dad took me to see the last Sean film as a bond 1968 my dad was a movie aficionado and had connections in movie theaters so i could get in and watch them, but i was to small to appreciate Sean's films, then Lazenby only one film not enough to appreciate, but Roger, Dalton and Brosnan put me into a different aspect and fell in love with the franchise, never miss a bond release in theatres no matter who's starring for me there is no bad bond i enjoy every one of them can't wait for the next bond, personally i like Henry but i think it won't go to him I think Aaron would be a terrific pick, by the way my daughter's favorite is Brosnan, she's in love with that guy,, gosh!!!

"Since his contract had expired, negotiations with him to renew it took place" - Wikipedia. Not only was he supposed to do a third film, "Since Dalton was contracted for three Bond films.." (Wikipedia), they wanted him to do four or five films but he chose not to continue. "I didn't want to do it anymore" - Timothy Dalton.

My favorite James Bond isn't any of the live action screen Bonds. It's the group from Alan Moore's LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN: TEMPEST comic book series, who age realistically from the fifties up through the end of the 20th Century and into the 21st, and stick pretty closely to the novels , especially the original Bond, who is an absolute bastard. He's cold, vicious, and utterly sociopathic, and MI6 knows this, and uses him as a weapon...and he revels in the power this gives him to be an absolute bastard. He's not a hero.

Daniel Craig isn’t Bond, he is a generic secret agent using the Bond name. Bar his first movie, the rest have all been pretty dull. Although he did try to copy Timothy Dalton, look at his outfit in Morocco vs Dalton’s in Morocco in TLD & then in the last movie he even drives his Aston. He also attempted the darker portrayal that Dalton aimed for, I actually stopped watching the Bond movies thanks to the Craig era, I lasted until Skyfall & that was me done. By that point any resemblance to the character in the books was in name only.
