Boy that caller @ 12:15, his testimony is so powerful. This call summarizes so much. Well done James O'Brien and more importantly the caller deserves so much credit for being able to be able to put the pieces together and understand that we are of one race...the human race.

@@krpkrp3033 Don't you find it interesting that he asks every single right wing caller to give an example, give evidence or reason and every single one is incapable of forming a coherent thought? And yet he's the idiot? If he's such an idiot, this should be easy. Give a timestamp for an incorrect statement he made in this video. You've got an hour of video to choose from. He talks a lot throughout. 1 timestamp. Go.

Just an observation. 3 points people constantly criticise O'Brien on in the comments. 1. He interrupts the caller. Most of the time O'Brien does this because the caller starts the argument by saying something that isn't true. So O'Brien stops them before they carry on. For example if I was to say: "Everybody knows the moon is made of cheese, so because of that I think...." There's no point allowing the person to continue as the rest of the sentance is irrelevant. The usual responds he gets is "You're not letting me finish!" or "Says who, I don't believe that" or "MSM blah blah" 2. He asks his callers to explane what they mean. An example of this is, there was a caller who rang up to say "Jeremy Corbyn is a cultural marxist". O'Brien stopped him to ask what do you mean. The caller got very angry. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask someone what they mean with the words THEY choose to use. If you want to understand their POV then you need to understand what they mean first, The usual responds he gets is "You know what I mean" or "Your just being awkward" 3. Points out the callers ignorance on the subject they phoned up on. For example there were many in the brexit debate. "I voted for brexit because of EU laws" O'Brien simply asks name one. Sure anyone can have an opinion on anything without knowing all the facts but you can't make the case for why you're pro or against somethig without even knowing what they are. A lot of people say that they agree with O'Brien but don't like the way he says things that you belittles or patronizes people. I think if a caller has a genuine point to make but struggles to use the right words and O'Brien is mocking them, then fine I would agree with that argument. But lets be clear all the callers who ring up are all adults and it's their chose.

A guy when I was in bootcamp had grew up in W Virginia and never met a person of color, so he had judgements based on what he heard growing up. She was actually right. Many people have reported that their relatives that died of cancer/heart disease have had Covid-19 put on their death certificate, simply because the hospital gets more funding that way. And when she said they haven't been tested James O Brian replied with "that's simply not possible". Well Sir Patrick Vallance admitted on live TV that not everyone that had Covid-19 on their death certificate have been tested, they just had the symptoms (which incidentally are almost identical to flu, which was conveniently disappeared this year). I can get you the link of Vallance saying this if you don't believe me.

@@JS-fi7fl hospitals have stunningly lost money during this pandemic...this isn't some evil hospital-fat-cat scam to steal free money. The more covid admissions a hospital has the more money it loses. Hospitals have lost hundreds of billions in revenue. There is a separate discussion about what fundamental medical system we should have...but that isn''t relevant here when massive amounts of money has been lost which fundamentally proves it isn't some made up fantasy to extract money. Do you think all hospitals and employees have agreed to pretend that they are overrun and literally lose money? I honestly don't know if you even know what point you are actually trying to argue.

There used to be a time when there were actual debates on Italian radio and tv. I’m old enough to remember them. Then in the 90s - in parallel with Berlusconi’s ascent in the political arena, we saw the rise of a new brand of politician, the professional shouter. And the entire tv culture of “shouting matches” expanded from soccer commentary and reality shows to the political debate. Whenever I go back to Italy and take a look at any of the more ‘revered’ political shows I see things keep getting worse in this sense. I have no longing for the political generation before “mani pulite” but can’t say the new ones are better (or even as bad) as that one.
@azmodanpc

@@Gargvarr The new breed of politicians that came out in the late 90s are as corrupt and incompetent as the generation that preceded it. They are however unable to string a couple of sentences together and are barely literate. Their speeches are mercifully not broadcast in their entirety. Don't get me started on their foreign language knowledge. Their knowledge of English is below first grade and the pronunciation is even worse.

@@MrFrankKelly truth a lot of the time is based on perspective. Opinion and facts often get intertwined. O'Brien believes that he is the keeper of all knowledge and anything he says overrules anyone else. When he comes across somebody who outwits him or he cannot bully he switches tactics and starts acting petulant. Another tactic of his is to move the person away from their point by repeating a childish question again and again or talking over somebody and not allowing them to develop their point. If you are taken in by O'Brien then that's your issue, he is a sanctimonious bigot.
