The Mercy of Gods was so interesting. Dafyd is a fascinating character (which I did pronounce as “David” in my head lol) as are the other characters. Can’t wait for the rest of the series.

The Novella that just came out 'livesuit' is incredible and really opens up that story!

I'm sad that Abraham didn't plug his books when he had a chance. He's one of my fav fantasy authors!! Long Price Quartet is 🔥🔥 and I'm anxiously awaiting book 3 in the Kithamar trilogy. I just finished the Dagger & Coin series.

I just saw them at a bookstore event in Seattle and they were just as entertaining and thoughtful in person.

What a great interview! How cool to be able to chat with both of these authors at the same time!

Right? It was such an honor to have them both on at the same time.

“Mercy” is so good and wild. It’s as if they have channeled the ghost of Philip José Farmer, and somehow improved his style.

Understanding the background of the mercy of the gods makes me understand the book more. I didn’t connect with the book that much. I will re read it again.

The book is pretty dark, imo. I'm trusting them to reward us later and i love the set up. But i think a lot of my friends won't enjoy the book. My re-listen is enjoyable as well.

Completely feel this. The Mercy of Gods throws a lot of setup at you. I reread chapters a couple times to really understand the world. Had a pencil in my hand the whole first half of the book lol😅 loved the book and can’t wait for book 2.

Fantastic interview, both very insightful. Loved the Community reference, I thought the same thing right before M.J. said it 🤣

I love the Expanse series and I always thought there was a loose connection with Alfred Bester's pulp masterpiece/asteroid belt setting of The Stars My Destination or Tyger, Tyger.....which was his take on Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. Anyways, great chat/ interview. Cheers!

When we met in the Antarctic, I was introduced to Leviathan Wakes by the woman who went on to discover water on Luna. There was someone else, I would drink beers with her and borrow her satphone to phone home. Her day job was operating the Curiosity Rover. Another team entirely was prototyping a submersible for Europa. I never did marry a nasa PhD. The easy things are hard and the hard things are easy hahaha

Not sure why he forgot to mention but Ty can also be found on youtube doing Ty & That Guy podcasts with his Ned Beatty. The last one happens to have Daniel on it as the other slacker is off doing other things. www.youtube.com/@TYandThatGuy
