She doesn't give me a creepy monster drag makeover, though, she transforms me into one of her personal idols (and all-time WOW favorite) Tammy Faye Bakker. It's unnervingly on the button. Sharon is EVERYTHING!!! A.vision IN&OUT of DRAG. So sharp & on point with cultural commentary. He was EXACTLY what drag needed& the drag world has evolved exponentially due to this exquisite creatures widespread fame & mainstream success. i am such a gushing fangirl who can relate to so much of his formative years. i truly felt like my adolescence was much like a John Waters film along with self imposed isolation from people that I knew did not undrrstand or appreciate my outsider art tendencies, which alonf with my ethic minority status made me further recede inro a more self imposed search for a tribe that was few and far between. in sharon needles case he was homosexual which also made him more of a coveted outsifer for me, which added to his unattainable cool factor. not that that was about to stop me from trying at that age.
