Pat Conway played one hell of a Cowboy. Back then, James Coburn and Michael Pate were neck and neck for who was the most hated bad guy on TV. Coburn went on to really show his acting chops. Jimmy Stewart's "Windmill" was a good show, but the only thing close to it being about Brit Ponsett was the music. Thanks again, Rob for the Cowboy fun.

How I love these two westerns, both actors are great actors, always loved their work. The Windmill is just what I was looking for, I remember this growing up with my parents and watching the westerns with my family. My dad loved westerns and family night was our time to be all together. My mom usually was cooking dinner, but afterwards, she joined us and watched them too. Lots of good viewing then, TV was new and my parents had a very small black and white set, small screen, but also a big furniture addition which took up the space in a corner close by a floor gas furnace. This was great, because winters were harsh in the winter time, and it was easier for me to stay warm and not needing an extra blanket while watching the films on the TV…lol. They don’t make them like they used to….CGI and AI has taken over, actors/actresses and acting is no longer needed, but give me the day when acting was an art, and skills were a must have in Hollywood….I prefer the older over the newer high-tech innovations…..👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰

I own the complete Six Shooter radio series. So, he made a pilot? I wonder why Stewart's show couldn't get a sponsor, but the Restless Gun with a lesser star (yes, I have it on DVD) had no problem getting made? Payne was excellent, by the way, as he always was on screen. But he surely didn't have the drawing power of Stewart.
