It’s somewhat disappointing that after 30 years of development they haven’t factored in ways to service this $10 billion masterpiece if something goes wrong. And why they didn’t factor in sending out additional means of power to extend the life beyond 10 years. At this stage in human ingenuity, I’m sure it wouldn’t be that difficult to have designed it so that you could send out an additional means of power to piggyback where it currently is to give it power for another 10 years, as well as more thrusting capabilities. If we can dock with the space station I’m sure they can do that. But you better believe if something goes wrong I will find a way to send something out there lol.

I just wish to say something here. I watched the launch of JWST live on NASA's KZbin channel. I've been waiting for that launch and deployment for a long time, ever since I've first heard of this project back in the late 90's... This year, I've spent Christmas alone.. but I didn't regret it. I did not, because I know, I watched one of the greatest moments in Human History unfolding in front of my eyes. It felt like a Christmas present. It was a perfect launch and what a view it was when the first sunshield unfolded and the first rays of the Sun covered the the spacecraft in a glory of light..! And then I saw something, I still can't believe... Sure, it wasn't the first time... But this time, it was different. First, I saw only one appear in the far distance... Then came a whole swarm of it. No, it wasn't ice. I've seen hundreds of launches in my life, most of them live. I know, how ice can be built up on spacecrafts and rockets and what happens at separation, how those ice particles move and at what possible trajectories they follow. What I've seen now, was something totally different. No, not satellites. Satellites have fixed orbit, occasionally adjusted to avoid collisions with other space objects. Their speed is fixed and constant, so is their orbital track... What we've seen here, are not from this Earth. A launch like this had attracted the interest of many. Not only us, Humans. Soon, the Time is here, when all shall be Revealed.

A great breakthrough for all mankind! Hopefully all goes to plan and we'll be watching the universe in six months' time. Our galaxy alone [according to the most recent conservative data by astrophysicists] has about 400 billion planets orbiting their stars. Of which approx. 2 billion lies in the so-called "golden-haired zone", i.e. one in which the conditions may be similar to those on Earth. And this is only in our galaxy, and the number of galaxies in the "visible" universe [which is about 4% of the total, because 96% is dark matter] is huge. It is estimated that in the visible universe there are approximately 350 billion LARGE GALAXIES, and 3.5 trillion LARGE GALAXIES! Well, it is getting out of control of the mind. And no wonder, because here we are already entering other dimensions, into parallel worlds, into spiritual worlds. And now - how many shoes, arrogance, incomprehensible pathetic egoism do you need to have in you to think that our civilization is the only one in the universe? the infinite vastness of the universe knows that there are millions and billions of civilizations like ours in the universe! And undoubtedly our civilization, unfortunately, belongs to the most primitive, beginners, and fledgling. UFO is a common phenomenon, every day hundreds of people around the world observe UFOs, while a significant part of UFO objects comes to us from other dimensions through wormholes. Civilizations ahead of us by thousands or millions of years gained such technology about which people so-far did not even dream of. Albert Einstein is one of the few scientists who "hooked" on the mechanisms functioning in the universe. And in the end I will say this - if you want to know where, soon after the death of the physical body, you will be temporarily staying [before you REINCARNATE INTO THE NEW PHYSICAL BODY], this telescope will tell us a lot about it - it will reveal the so far invisible parallel worlds, other dimensions - because apart from what can be seen with the naked eye - he will be able to observe in infrared this TIME VEHICLE THANKS TO BILLIONS OF YEARS ALMOST TO THE BIG BANG!

So...what part of "It's an infra-red telescope that instead of being easily parked in low earth orbit has to be sent a million miles out of reach, causing decades of delays and billions of dollars in cost overruns, just so that it isn't blinded by the thermal radiation of the planet and the star it orbits" didn't you understand?
