Saw this excellent pianist in the late 70’s with - Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers - at a live gig at Nick Jazz Cafe in Holland. Great hard-bop pianist folks, and this lovely album shows his craft and magnificently backed by Ray and Elvin. What more do you want? Dig, G’day & Cheers!

@@theawoznitza5586 Exactly Thea. This fabulous jazz music needs to be preserved and is after all America’s only art form. Be well & Cheers!

Absolutely Ronald, almost retired and living in Australia, not many jazz gigs in the cities mostly small jazz clubs keep the music flowing and it’s wonderful that a some young people are discovering the music and excited to create

@@theawoznitza5586 I know it all to well that the jazz scene was very minimal in Oz. I’m from the Sunshine Coast in Qld and currently staying in Italy. In the 80’s/90’s i used to do jazz programs in Townsville, Buderim and Noosa for the community radio stations. Oz jazzers, in those days, were more into Dixieland and big swing bands (and Winifred Atwell). My preference was bop/hard-bop which i presented. Got lots of phone enquiring listeners because they had never before heard that kind of very exciting jazz. They are very dear memories. Good talking to you, G’day & a swingin’ Cheers!
