Great principles. He is an impressive exemplar of Japanese martial arts. His episode of Time Warp where he demos internal hitting is gold. The only problem with what he’s doing here is it requires a lifetime of study and daily practice. These guys and most professional soldiers don’t have the time to invest to become proficient in this. It has to be simple concepts and finite techniques for them, just due to their schedule and op tempo.

This is absolutely amazing instruction. Very close to our principles in Gracie JiuJitsu. High respect for Japanese JuJutsu and weapons based training. Really really good stuff. Grandfather of my branch of JiuJitsu.

It’s not just the same principles as Aikido, it’s him pretending that it’s his own work. To not clear call this Aikido is ultimately Egotistical.

in theory it could be aikido, but in reality, few teachers teach like this in aikido, and if they do, they learnt out of aikido, almost always
