BASE is costly. They make certain coins unavailable to people until they have invested their lion's share in those coins then they will release it. They get rich. Another example of fee extortion (for lack of a better term) let's say you want BRETT, you pay fees to get ETH then you send to BASE for a fee. Then you swap ETH for Brett and pay ANOTHER fee. When you move it to a cold wallet you have to pay a fee. When you want to cash Brett out you pay a fee. Base is fee-happy! :/ FYI, soon Brett will be released on CB & CB ADV for everyone to buy without all the fee hoopla.
