Yes people have bigger problems in life. But eczema is so hard to live with. My son had it really bad for the first 3 years of his life and there was nothing more heartbreaking than seeing him get into such a state over it. Everyone fights different battles, and yours is valid, regardless ❤️

I suffer from eczema especially around my eyes and neck (but also all over my body). Its so nice to see an influencer sharing their experience and showing that Im not the only one suffering. It's so hard going to work and feeling so insecure so I feel you Carys. Thank you for sharing this on your platform.

Hey Carys, I just wanted to let you know this year I felt confident wearing dresses, shorts etc during the summer. I’ve always worried and hid away. I am covered in psoriasis and overweight - however watching your motivational talks during the vlogs gave me so much confidence and the right mindset to just wear what makes me happy and don’t worry about what other people think. Thank you for giving me that confidence. I hope you find the same peace in your eczema soon and find a solution that works for you 💕 xxx

Thank you for sharing and being so open and honest about your eczema, I struggled for years with eczema on my face and I used to get so frustrated and buy expensive products to make it better or try wearing make up over it and it just irritated it and made it worse. I haven't had eczema on my face for a couple of years now and if theres a product I recommend to absolutely everyone its the Weleda moisturiser! I'm sure you've tried everything under the sun, but its worth a go as it honestly transformed my skin! Just remember you're beautiful inside and out xx

I love your vlogs because they are so real. I love that you get carried away chatting about things because that’s real life and I feel like I’m talking to/hearing out a friend. I’m sorry you’re struggling with your eczema, I had it a few years ago when my anxiety was at its peak and thankfully have kept it at bay since but there’s still those odd stressful days when I feel like my skin is burning and itchy. My perspective is my skin is showing my emotions, I know when my body starts to react then mentally I need to care for myself that little bit more that day. I really appreciate that you feel comfortable enough to have a long chat about your thoughts and feelings❤❤❤

Hearing you talk about the eczema and post vlogs anyways brings me so much comfort right now. I've had a horrible revival of psoriasis all over my body and although it doesn't affect my quality of life, it makes me very self conscious and feel unattractive. Removal of the mirrors is an amazing idea and whatever works for you. Thanks for a safe space

Carys breaks my heart to see you suffer with the eczema! I had/have THE EXACT same thing. Eye lids and joints especially. If it brings you any comfort to know, mine was probably just as bad as yours and honestly, one day after having since I was 5, it cleared and never came back without meds. It’s been 6 years! You’ve got this- remember its temporary!!

Thank you for your chat James, it was really reassuring to hear you sharing your down periods during this weather, and I really related to it as I have been struggling in the darker days too. You’ve motivated me to try and get a small bit of exercise in each week, if nothing else, just to give me a mental boost. Well done for doing your bit and encouraging people (especially men) to open up about their mental health and feeling. Thank you! Xx

Carys, I’ve struggled with eczema type flare ups and skin issues over the last couple of years and nothing worked until I saw a functional nutrition therapist! I’d really recommend you to see one because they go through your entire lifestyle and diet to find the root cause of the problem. My flare ups started healing within literally a few weeks when I saw them after spending so long trying everything I could! Deffo give it a try ❤️ I went to the London clinic of nutrition but they do remote appointments so you could give them a go xx

Carys you touch your hair all the time and then touch your eyes/face. It could be that you are touching the residue shampoo/conditioner and causing contact dermatitis. On my children I've used multiple different things, but you need a barrier such as vaseline at night while you are sleeping, and then a cream such as child's farm through the day. Everyday. So it doesn't dry out xxx

Hey Carys, have you listened to any of Nicole Sachs podcasts? Or read any of her books? She has an incredible theory on journaling to cure ailments. If we don’t express our stresses it will show up in physical things in our body. Some stresses are buried so deep down too that they are really subconscious. Even just writing a stream of consciousness in the morning and evening for 20 mins (or as long as you can do) can really help. Hope something helps soon. Lots of love. Xx
@VelvetVolcano2 жыл бұрын
Carys, I don’t know what type / brands etc of makeup you tend to use, but have you ever tried more natural cosmetics including mineral makeup and stuff like that? So many common brands of makeup have terrible ingredients that are very triggering for many skin conditions. Also, a phrase I use quite a lot is a spin off the idea of someone having “a lot on their plate”, everyone has a different type of plate that has a different capacity for “things” being on it (stress, life events, jobs etc)… some peoples plates could be made of paper, some made of steel etc. Our troubles are all relative and unique to our own situations, you are perfectly valid being frustrated with your eczema, it’s not fun (I also deal with it, amongst other allergy issues) and whether it’s better or worse than what someone else is dealing with, it doesn’t take away from your experience 💖. I hope it eases soon!

Vitamin b deficiency causes dermatitis aka eczema especially during pregnancy you can read up on weston A price website just type it in and you will find a article on vitamins and what to eat for them. Wouldn’t recommend a supplement because supplements are synthetic versions and they turn toxic in the body when consumed
