James Arnold Taylor is one of Hollywood's most prolific Voice-Actors today and doubles for many celebrities in film, TV, video games and animation.
This clip is from James' stage show "Talking to Myself" performed at Disney World's Hollywood Studios during Star Wars Weekends 2011 at the Premiere theater in front of an audience of about 700 people. In this clip James links 95 different celebrities and cartoon characters showing the similarities beginning with his own voice.

It's not so much about the PERFECTION of these voices as much as it's about how similar he can make them sound as he transitions from character to character. He was making a point about how his voice can adapt to pick up on the subtleties between celebrities. No, he's not going to be perfect. You can't do 95 impressions without at least ONE of them sounding lackluster. That's the nature of impressionism. JAT is a fantastic voice-actor, and he's actually one of the few voiceover artists who got me interested in the craft. And I feel bad for him, because he's ridiculously ambitious, disciplined, and organized (let's see YOU try to change voices on a time WHILE ALSO following along with a strictly choreographed slideshow animation), and has talent on top of that. He really moved me as Tidus from Final Fantasy X and as I started to hear him in more things, I was inspired to pursue voice-acting as a career. He really was blessed with stupendous vocal chords and I think a lot of the critical comments below are just negative people nitpicking because they aren't able to grasp the level of talent necessary to pull this kind of act off. Not sure how often you check your comments, James, but I'm blown away at how well-organized this was. Would love to see more posts from you about voices and any insight you have. :)

ChaseFace Why is that noteworthy? Seems sort of like ppl are reacting because they recognize the subject of each attempt. I feel like I'm shitting on the guy, but I'm really not. He's fine. I just see comments where ppl are blown away and want to show them Kevin Pollack's old HBO special.

All of the people in here complaining that his impressions weren't always 100% accurate, you DO realize he just ran through 95 different impressions in under 6 minutes, right? Seriously, people don't want to admit to being impressed by anything anymore. It's so much easier to just be negative and badmouth one another.

Imani Smith "i bet none of ya'll can come close to what he did" dumb bitch commenting things that fucking kids would say. As the general consensus, it is not our job to entertain. We simply experience and react. Movie critiques don't make films. They critique. Commentators speaking for great athletes will probably never reach their height of extra ordinance. So there is absolutely no need for us to be competing with this man. We can hate him all we want cos truth be told, without a reaction entertainers will be lifeless in their craft.

These were great,. I don't see why anyone would bother with saying that not all of them were 100% accurate because not only did he go through 95 different voices in under 10 minutes, but it's because of that that he wasn't able to be *100%* accurate. You need to have a little time to get completely into character to do them perfectly. He went through them quickly but even so he did them so well that if you knew who the voices belong to, you'd know who he was doing right away. Even professional voice actors who do a certain voice all the time need to go through at least a little preparation to get into character before doing some recording. Many professional athletes have a similar thing where they do a little routine before going out and doing what they're best at. Give the man some credit and acknowledge his talent before you nitpick about how not every voice was 100% accurate. Since, again, he did *95* voices in a row in under 10 minutes and took no breaks between any of them.

Think of it like this. Say you have an array of guns before you. You need to shoot 95 different enemies with 95 of those guns in 6 minutes or so and you just have to get them decently. Will you be completely accurate every single time? No, between setting up and aiming then firing, you won't be perfect with your shots. Given a bit more time with each one, you'll be much more accurate. Now switch the word guns with voices and enemies with critics

Those who don't have these skills/ talents might want to consider that what you SEE is only the tip of the iceberg vis à vis voice-acting. What he illustrates here, is the ability some of us possess to change voices and characters on the fly. I've done similar showcases, mostly to show potential voice students my acumen and their own potential in the craft. I would also like to have seen longer pieces, but given the time constraints and venue, it's quite entertaining, and well-done. Realize that when we're in front of a mic for an extended time for a recorded show, we are MUCH more able to access the nuances of the character voices to bring them to less one-lined, and total fruition. Bravo, James Arnold Taylor! Continued success, and I look forward to playing /working with you on the mic, someday soon. ~G2

+Snakedoctor O'Reilly Actually, there's a new Ratchet and Clank game as well as a movie. Ratchet being played by James Arnold Taylor is current.

Jak Mar i just...I dont know what to say to that. What are you talking about? lol. Although thats a true statement it has nothing to do with what we were saying. And while im at it, I played ratchet and clank when it first came out. I've waited a while for them to make something like this. Alot of kids have only played the new game...they know nothing. They are Jon Snows.

+Snakedoctor O'Reilly The other guy said that you were from the past since you brought up Ratchet. I was defending you by saying that Ratchet is a current part of gaming and James Arnold Taylor's career. But if you don't want my help then suit yourself and the Internet will eat you alive (speaking from experience). Good luck.

Wow! I think this was so amazing! I don't understand why "everyone" hated his impressions. It's pretty hard to do so many different voices and so many voice impressions was spot on imo. Okay I gotta admit that there were few voices that wasn't that good but still I respect his acting.

What I found most amazing is not "good" or "bad" he was in the precise remake of the voice, but the way he was able to shift so fast between so many different ones. That takes amazing skill.
