This is phucking horrible and embarrassing. This is the Godfather during one of his lowest periods - high out of his mind, the band is RACING through this song with no funk whatsoever. This is dreadful. I love Danny Ray but as an MC - he had NO business being a background singer. He’s rhythmically challenged. By the time Maceo finishes his great solo you can’t even recognize this song as “Sex Machine”. I was at the Apollo in 1971 when he came through with the JB’s and tore the building down with funk and soul! This video breaks my heart. This should have been called something else other than "Sex Machine" and I could respect it more. call it "Afro Jam" or something because it does have elements of African music in it, but when you call this "Sex Machine"? I'm expecting something altogether different and closer to the original.
