Hi James, I am Brazilian...and I think you didnt make a research about our make up, neither your friend who is saying stuff in the video... We have great quality eyeshadow palletes here, most people dont wear American products and we DO LIKE wearing makeup weather is light or heavy despite the weather. I suggest you try playboy or ludurana eyeshadows, or if you want beauty gurus try the Mari Saad ones, or Nadia Tambasco, probably gonna change your mind a little bit.

Hi James! Not to throw any shade but here are some facts about Brasil: • we don't speak spanish (as many americans believe) and Paraguay is not a part of our country; • in the worldwide "beauty and personal care" rank Brazil hits 4th place and made US$ 22,7 billions in 2022; • Bruna Tavares is actually very close to expanding her beauty brand to USA, she just joined the Kiss New York group this year (try her Wonderlash mascara, it's amazing and made me throw away my former favorite Too Faced - Better Than Sex); • yes, it's extremely hot in here but our brands got way better in offering products with longevity and high quality so, yes, we use a lot of makeup daily (doesn't mean is cakey); • of course we use foreign makeup like MAC, Rare, Essence, ABH and so much more, but the our beauty market had just hit the point of a very similar (even better, in some cases) quality so some items are just way better for our climate and diversity of skin types; • in fact, it was Bruna Tavares who "forced" our beauty industry to really listen to our claims and needs. Well, there's so much more of things that I could say but maybe next time you could do collab with Mari Maria or Bruna Tavares, how about that? It would be dope 😊😊

Brasil here! You should try more Bruna Tavares makeup, she has all products to do beautiful full face, she has a product calls “bt velvet” has 32 shades, people use as eyeshadow. She did collections with Disney, what is stunning for us. We love Mari Maria too! And if you had a chance, try “Vizzela” too! Franciny’s brand is actually highly appreciated in Brazil, her products are very and affordable, but to be fair she is more known by her line of lip glosses. She has a chocolate one (wich is my favorite) and a lot more, people say is kind of a too faced dupe. BT velvets (Bruna’s liquid eyeshadow )works as a eyeshadow primer as well, that’s why the eyeshadow looked soooo pigmented. It also dries out so you can use a little bit, blend it out and let it be by itself. Once you figure this product out you are never letting it go from your makeup kit 🫶🏻

1 - It’s not bc we live in a tropical country that we only go full coverage at night, we also use a lot of makeup (and face products lol) during daytime that’s why there’s matte products; 2 - We don’t actually use that much USA products bc they’re HELLA expensive; 3 - We do use eyebrow products, not everyone has thick natural brows, we have a lot of great Brazilian eyebrow products you just couldn’t find it; 4 - Our eyeshadow palettes are AMAZING! Unfortunately Ruby Rose is not one of them; 5 - Bruna Tavares is the biggest makeup brand in Brazil, she has THE BEST liquid eyeshadows (like the ones Armani launched but better) and all the line is incredible! Hope next time you try more variety of brands and products and get help from someone that understands and knows makeup lol
