I boxed in the same tournament as Joe along time ago (1987 or 1988) in a place called rylane in cork in the south of Ireland ,and I can tell ya he was one big man..I was only 16 at the time and I was fighting a 3 times Irish champion and Joe was fighting a former kickboxer world champion who were both from the home town we were in that night and the place was packed to the raffters..I remember him telling me in the changing room before the fight to relax and be proud to be fighting on a night that you can always say that you did and will always remember...well we both had two great fights that night and Joe was right I am proud and happy to have fought in the same unbelievable tournament on the same night as he did..He is a great fighter and a great guy. 🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊
