Thats an interesting drum sander attachment for your lathe. Do you have a video making that?

I don't have a video on making it but it was simple to make, the base is two 400mm square bits of MDF which are hinged at the back and there is a nut at the front centre glued in the bottom board and a long bolt with a small handle going through the bottom one to adjust the top bed up and down, I hope that helps! @@JamesGarwood please do, a thickness sander is on the short list for this winter. i do mostly pens too. the celtic knot is my "signature" piece, mine are a 6 loop design using 0.032 veneer and i need a drum sander for the veneer strips! wish i could send a pic!!

It is totally worth doing if you love making things, as for making money from selling segmented woodturning I'm sure there are people out there who do make money but I do it for the love and entertainment of making things, smaller bowls which you can mass produce would be the way to go if you want to make money
