Actually, this makes sense. Imagine that you have bought the coffee beans of your dreams. You are going home and in your mind you are already preparing it. At the gas station, someone offers you coffee from some unknown beans. It will be either bad coffee or good coffee, which will spoil or distort your taste experience of purchased coffee beans. P.s. In my personal experience, there is no really good coffee at gas stations. It will be "normal coffee" if you're lucky.

@@Brave_Lion whilst I agree that gas station coffee is probably not what you'd usually call "high quality coffee", but I don't think that the coffee is being served to him at the gas station in that clip, but during motorcycle maintenance: I'm pretty sure that the segment in question and James' refusal of the coffee is supposed to refer to James' commentary on the original advertisement. How strange it is that Brad lounges in a chair with a dissatisfied expression, not drinking coffee whilst his mechanic is drinking some. James takes this critique of Brad's implied 'snobbishness' to another level by outright refusing the coffee which has clearly been made for him, turning it down not with a thanking smile, but with a full-body denial.
