Actually, this makes sense. Imagine that you have bought the coffee beans of your dreams. You are going home and in your mind you are already preparing it. At the gas station, someone offers you coffee from some unknown beans. It will be either bad coffee or good coffee, which will spoil or distort your taste experience of purchased coffee beans. P.s. In my personal experience, there is no really good coffee at gas stations. It will be "normal coffee" if you're lucky.

@@Brave_Lion whilst I agree that gas station coffee is probably not what you'd usually call "high quality coffee", but I don't think that the coffee is being served to him at the gas station in that clip, but during motorcycle maintenance: I'm pretty sure that the segment in question and James' refusal of the coffee is supposed to refer to James' commentary on the original advertisement. How strange it is that Brad lounges in a chair with a dissatisfied expression, not drinking coffee whilst his mechanic is drinking some. James takes this critique of Brad's implied 'snobbishness' to another level by outright refusing the coffee which has clearly been made for him, turning it down not with a thanking smile, but with a full-body denial.

I didn't expect this to be so glorious. I cried a little and the laughter turned into a cackle that I no idea I could produce.

Kind of makes you appreciate the effort that a first class parody takes; James, you and Alfred Matthew are my heroes 😊

The fact that this exists, and was able to happen at all, is so absurdly bizzare that I couldn’t help but be enraptured in waiting for what the final product would be. And it was hilARIOUS, oh my gods. Y’all got a top notch team here, and all y’all did an amazing job with this remake!

That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Thank you for making it. You should upload the commercial to your channel, I have no doubt people would go back to it often when they need a good laugh.

"outdoor film's shoot nemesis: the British weather" I loved that. I remember several outdoor shots of Doctor Who (the 4th Doctor Tom Baker) and the villages that appear were always like rain had just ended, probably because the rain had just ended and they desperately filmed in those short windows between rain ending and rain starting again.

It was fun! Also ties in really well with your previous reaction video, love the little refusal of the cup of coffee while the bike is being worked on, great nod there 😂 PS: As a former film maker I can attest that shooting anything outdoors is the primary nemesis of a director, great sound capture is an art, and good lighting is much harder to achieve than it looks.

This is as perfect as that fateful day Brad decided to film that commercial and thus sending James on the journey to rectify the misrepresentation of coffee to the world.

OMG. The music, the Easy Rider vibe, refusing the substandard coffee while friend works on bike, refusing to share the snack, coffee beans everywhere and the bipe…perfecto! I saw James’s commentary on Brad’s commercial two days ago. Then this today. Still haven’t seen the Original in real time. This is a slice of fried gold! Watched it five times in a row.
