The scene with the government officials frantically arguing about the aftermath of the incident while we were served shots of an abandoned and hopeless Tokyo. Barren and forlorn. That had such a solemn and eerie vibe to it. I must admit, with how little time they had and how much they had to condense, they did a great job of retaining the feeling of confusion and fear of the unknown. I will proceed to read the manga from start to finish because I believe that may be a better way of experiencing the entire unfiltered story.

Disagree fairly hard, it's a manga not a visual novel. The anime adaptation, unless they mess it up insanely bad, will 9/10 times be better than the original. Its a completely different thing if its a visual novel adaptation, as those range from 15-80 hours and are in most cases worse than the og source due to time issues.
