It's Christmas, and the Nerd spends it this year by seeing what kind of virtual sportsman he can be in Winter Games for the NES.
It's going to be a cold, rotten Christmas for The Nerd this year as he endures bleak, depressing graphics, glitch resembling animation and atrocious music. To top it all off he will attempt to make sense of some of the worst controls in video game history while the game lets him know how much he sucks the whole way through.

That's actually analog distortion, which is actually really cool albeit expensive. Basically he isnt recording his audio to a computer specifically and is possibly running it through some kind of tape machine.

Even though he as given Karate Champ and Dark Castle worse controls then Winter Games, I still think it is the worst. Dark Castle and Karate Champ I have figured out(sort of) but with Winter Games I still cant get even a decibel point on the figure skating and I've tried a 100 times. Winter Games is still the worst controls on the NES in my opinion.

Chris O'Keeffe you need the manual to play figure skating, it's impossible without. The manual lists the correct order in which you have to do the jumps. Any other order gets you 0 points.

I used to play this on the C64 with a joystick, much more suitable than a D-pad. The most important part of the Epyx Games series is that each event had a different control system and you HAD to read the instructions to get what was going on.
