+Clara Going Bye Bye He isn't saying anything about controlled weather. In the video, James remarks that it may be because he's a time traveler that he knows exactly when it will stop raining. The fact that he remarks on the accuracy of the weather forecasting shows that is not the case, him having come to the future has nothing to do with it, otherwise he wouldn't even bother looking at the watch. That is all he is saying.
@Esauofisaac9 жыл бұрын
+Clara Going Bye Bye If the scene was meant to impress that he'd already known when it would stop, he wouldn't have made any remark about weather predictions. It is very, very obviously a reference to future weather predicting technology. He gives a long, detailed description of how and why he knows when and where Marty's child will be, and yet doesn't do so for the weather? Makes no sense.

In my town, we have a classic café, if that counts. The only difference is that it's more into the 50's/60's.
@thejunkman9 жыл бұрын
+Brian Colborn That is part of the joke. Using the rule of 30, in the 80's the nostalgia was for the "50's Diner" so in 2015 we should be nostalgic for an "80's Cafe" And as the line that Doc says "It's one of those nostalgic places that was not done very well" implying what we saw then in the 1980's that "50's Diners" didn't really replicate the typical 1950 experience of restaurants as well as the people who would have remembered them. Those types of places are idealized representations of what we would have liked a cafe/diner to be in the 50/80s. That said, why is there not a "Cafe 80's" chain across the country?

+AvatarAndKataangFan PIP (Picture in Picture) that was a big thing, I think it went away because now the TV is just getting information from a tuner box into an input, so no way to separate two feeds like when the TV was doing the tuning work of the box. In this regard we have gone back to the 1980's where you have to have a box hooked to your TV for it to receive a signal. I remember the days when you just hooked up one cable to the back of the TV and turned it on.

You guys forgot that Mr. Fusion only powered the flux capacitor. In Back to the Future 3, Doc Brown says that the Delorean's engine always ran on ordinary gas. So obviously gasoline is still used in the year 2015 of the Back to the Future movies. The baseball team is the Chicago Cubs, who are actually in the MLB playoffs now. At about 4:45 Mike and James are discussing Mr. Fusion. They were wrong though, Mr. Fusion didn't power the engine of the car, only the hover system and the flux capacitor. This was specifically brought up in the third film when Marty tells Doc about the torn gas line on the DeLorean he brought with him. Doc explains that Mr. Fusion only powered the electrical systems, not the car itself. I'm not bashing the films because they're nostalgia overload for me and a great memory of my childhood, but I always wondered why they never just went back to the DeLorean that Doc brought with him originally and just siphoned the gas from that one. And lastly, in regards to the third film, Doc makes something of a big deal from the lack of available gasoline, but Gasoline was a well-known byproduct of oil refinement as early as 1850, even if they couldn't find any, surely Doc Brown could find some easily accessible crude oil and simple refined his own. If the man can build a working refrigeration and ice-making unit and a time machine from a train that can hover then surely a minor thing like oil refinement isn't outside of his capabilities.

For the Cell phone emergency things, 2 points: - There is still emergency line phone booth on point where they expect an emergency to happens but no one to be around (Highway especially have those, or at least should) - You can use most cell phone to pass emergency call even if you do not own them (and those do not know the unlocking combination). That way if someone is unconscious: you can still use their own phone to call the emergency services.

a few points I'd like to make to clarify things. 1. If flying cars where created, it would be a luxury for the rich as I'm assuming that they would run on Jet fuel ''kerosene'' which would be difficult to obtain. 2. The Future could have crazy fashion, as fashion is known for fluctuating between, crazy over the top and then back to casual. 3. They were right about the 3D craze in cinemas as the Jaws movie is in a holmax Theater

The reason Mike we all don't have electric cars by now is the tech just wasn't their to make it worth while. In reality what we did is make cars extremely fuel efficient,create hybrids that can run on both; and no use other forms of less pollution to run cars. Most electricity at the time was still run off coal now it is a mix of all forms not just one. So we are far far more energy efficient than we were in the 80s it just didn't go the route of pure electric.
@EmperorNero9 жыл бұрын
AriesT I said it wasn't there it is not,but it wasn't throughout the time.

It's difficult to wear your clothes wrong, but I guess they don't have self-righting pockets yet. 4:58 Mr Fusion powers the flux capacitor. You'll note it's right over the spot where the plutonium rods are inserted and where the pole was placed to channel the lightning into it. In addition, you'll recall that in the third movie, the Delorean still runs on gas, it's kind of a critical plot point.
