You can tell in all these videos how nervous Jon is. I think James see's him as an equal but Jon is clearly starstruck most of the time and stumbles over his words a lot and his composure is pretty telling. And I would be too! James is a legend and a man who helped pioneer today's KZbin culture.

I don't have nearly as many, but I have definitely over 100, with the many types of cases over time, you know. And the sad thing is that they all still work. My VCR still works and the movies themselves are fantastic, but there's just less drive to watch them nowadays. I did recently watch Mouse Hunt (absolutely hilarious) on VHS, and it felt like a good old fashioned movie experience. Good memories!

Storing them vertical. Maybe the room is good temp and insulated well. Print through would be a concern though, not ever playing them. I had a few audio tapes do that before.

It's so weird seeing the two of them together. I didn't think this would be so noticeable, but you can really see the generational gap in everything from their views on Star Wars to their body language.

I agree, there is a huge difference between 80s kids and 90s kids, and I think it's mainly due to the internet. Children of the 80s were the last to grow to adolescence in a world without the internet; as an 80's kid myself (b. 1982) I feel like I have more in common with people 10, 20, even 30 years older than me than people 10 years younger than me. It's really weird.

I'd love to see James' VHS collections. Takes me back to my old local VHS store where some genius who ran the place thought putting the 'Horror' section right opposite the 'Kid' section was a good move. It was not. The box cover to Hellraiser still gives the creeps.
