Technically people just code switch between Scots and English a lot. Using different amounts depending on situation. With friends/casual situations will be more scots, but we’re taught in school that formal situations (including school itself) require English.

“Dree-kit” said as it sounds (With that double “e”), means the weather isn’t nice. Overcast or typically both overcast and very rainy. Additionally, “Crab-it” it’s pronounced as spelled here :) Also “dafty” is a name you call someone, so the sentence would most likely sound like “he’s a dafty” rather than “he’s dafty”. That wouldn’t make sense.. funnily enough as I’m sure for a non-Scot, none of this probably does haha! Lastly.. Can’t deny.. Having a lovely jobby, you people would be very surprised ;) thanks for the screenshot at the start my man.
