I appreciate that you start with a flat image. All too often I see people jump right into high contrast with empty shadows and blown highlights.

James, great tutorial for the Affinity Photo for iPad. Quick question: what is the brightness level of the iPad screen to be set before starting to edit photos as I think it may affect the editing work if set to too bright or too dark. Thanks.

Hi Daryl, you generally want the brightness to match the environment-most iPads should adjust the screen brightness depending on your ambient light levels. You can usually tell by eye whether it's too dark or bright compared to the ambient light levels. Ideally, you would calibrate and profile the screen to a specific brightness but there aren't really any great solutions for this (the i1 ColorTrue app profiles for colour temperatures but not brightness levels I think).

Hello I don’t know if your still responding to questions about using Affinity photo for iPad but every time I’ve tried using the inpainting brush I’ve not had very much success with removing people from Wedding photos. I’d definitely appreciate if your could make a video tutorial showing how to do this I’d greatly appreciate your help and anyone else’s help also. Thanks 🙏🏽 in advance to you for all your amazing tutorials
