Great video I've just order a set so will be useful, but would put the front straps the other way, this would reduce the flapping whist moving and also less risk of the straps coming undone .
@JamesSocialCycling3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Derek. The straps are solid mate, they’re not coming undone at all, the Velcro holds fast. Even had the guards off the bike this summer then reinstalled and again no problems. You’ll get a lot of good use out of them😊👍

If you cut the rubber things round for the rear guards does that make it harder to take them off and put them on again?
@JamesSocialCycling11 ай бұрын
I’ve cut all the rubber straps and I’ve had no issue when installing them. I pretty much take the guards off every wash. They’re that easy once you have done the initial install. Hope that helps and thanks for dropping by😊👍

@@SWIMSMARTCOACHINGI wanted to try to make it easy to understand due to too many being very limited on info and quick on time. I’m not sure what you mean by clear straps. Either black rubber which have the holes in which I did cut or the black Velcro which I didn’t cut. Hope this helps.😊👍

The extension on the back fender that comes out front, can you pull it out any more and make it end up closer to the bottom bracket?

Thanks for that info. I’m going to hold off on this one. The Topstone has built in fender mount bosses at the seat stay cross tube and just behind the BB. I’m going to try and find a fender system that can utilize them.

@@GNX157 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fojFiX2JadyngZY if you are using smaller tyres the NCS work well. If using 35/40 width you’ll have trouble getting the front mudguard through the fork as I mentioned. Thanks G

Will these fenders only fit on road bikes with disc brakes? Or will they also fit a road bike with rim brakes?

Just wondering if your front wheel splash water infront of you? If you do, does the fender help?
@JamesSocialCycling3 жыл бұрын
Front fender works a treat. Keeps water off me and off the bike, keeping it clean. More than can be said for the Trek, as no room to fit anything on that. Sprays water all up my shins and feet and the bike gets dirty.

This they do the seat post guard versions for that size on the rear and some forks won’t allow a guard to fit. This might work kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5zHhH6pbMqHbcU 😊👍

@@JamesSocialCycling I ended up getting the speedrockers anyway and they fit haha the rear fitment is quite tight at the seat stay mount. If they didn't make the seat tube mount adjustable then it would fit fine. Much happier with these.

hello thanks for the video. I have been using this fender set for about 1 year. But I have a problem. While cycling, the front fender rubs against the shoes in sudden turns. Normally, I have to keep the pedal at the top of the turns, I know this, but sometimes this is not possible. When the shoe rubs against the mudguard, the mudguard orbital adjustment is disturbed. The front fender starts to rub against the tire. this is very annoying. maybe you have a solution. :)

Hi Alper, sorry to say there is no fantastic fix for this issue I’m afraid. This will be down to the space and Andre of you head tube and forks. I am unable to fit a mudguard to my Emonda due to not having the space. I also have the same issue with the SKS muddies on my Topstone, you just have to be careful when riding. Sorry I don’t have a fix but something we all have to deal with. Happy riding and thanks for the comment😊👍
