Oh, my goodness! These sculptures are amazing! Thank you for showing us this. Its beautiful. Isnt it relaxing to walk downtown when the streets are almost empty? Best wishes to you.

I love empty streets. It is getting so crowded where I live. They said that Saturday there was absolutely no where to park. I knew that, so that is why I got there about 5:30 am, and i'm glad I did. Because after Saturday and Sunday they all melted enough to ruin them. But it did not stop people from swarming to Lake Geneva. Thanks Cindy and you have a great weekend.

I finally got to finish watching this video. It's amazing how they make the big snow sculptures look exactly like the little plastic models and the pictures. I like the early morning effects. Those doing the sculpting sure have a lot of talent. Thanks for getting up early and filming this great video James.

Thank you Greg, it was the only way I knew I had the cat in the bag because of the warm weather coming. I got lucky on that one. And I'm glad I did not interview anyone because I did not want to step on Geneva Shore Report shoes. I stayed clear. That is what they were covering all that week. I just wanted to show the sculptures is all. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad I was able to show each one before they melted.

That was a great way to show the snow and ice sculptures before it was daylight and crowded with people. The lights glistening off the wet sidewalks made me shiver. I think my state of Iowa had one of the simpler sculptures. Thank you for getting up so early to do this.

It was my pleasure. I enjoyed it. I got to talk to the sculpting people a little and one said he worked 50 hours on it in three days. Everyones sculpture looked like a winner. But it was fun.

Hi John, how are you doing? I had to do this video very early in the morning of Saturday just in case the weather started to get to warm, and i'm glad I did. And I think filming in the dark with the lights on really gave it a nice look. Allot of people never get to see it like that. It was fun. I really enjoyed this event. I guess the ice castles had bad luck to, as well at the Geneva Nationals. They worked hard, but they run that thing for two weeks I think. So this week looks good. Maybe they will come out of it. Thanks John for watching.

James, this is great! Hope all is well with you. This reminds me of growing up in Fond du Lac in the 1960s. We'd see the ice and snow sculptures on Christmas Eve, at Lakeside Park. Now I'm living in San Diego. They do the same thing but with *Sand* instead of snow.

I bet that has got to be beautiful. It must be like sand castles.

@@jamessween Sand Castles- yup. Interesting stuff, but... the items *you* posted I think are far more interesting. They have sweeping arches and use empty space between those arches to make an expression. Only water (ice, snow) has the cohesion necessary toto do that. Can't be done as well, if at all, in dry sand. Thanks again for the video you've shared.
