I remember this. It’s been a long time since i drove stick. My father and father in law both in their 80s said back when they tested for their license, manual was more prominent then. Three speed with the gear shift on the steering column “three on the tree” it was called. Where they tested in Somerville, Massachusetts. The examiner would make them back up on a hill and do three point turns also on a steep hill. It was to show the examiner who was actually a police officer, how well you could control the vehicle.

I drove a manual Nissan D21 Hardbody truck now and still practicing clutch control but rev matching is was hard to get it right

I had a Manual Practice today. I did have a license already and drove an automatic cars. However, I do have problems balancing Clutch and a Gas on steep hill and unfortunately. I accidentally stalled the engine. For me, it is really hard to do a clutch control. And yeah, it is my first time practicing with a Manual car.

If you are constantly on it, you will burn it a bit. But it is a situation that would require it every now and again. Not everyday.

@@JamesTravis Completely agree mate, personally I drive this way in uphill traffic situations because I prefer it. If clutch feels odd overtime due to me doing this, I'll just replace it
