I don't claim this song as a Delena moment. It began with Rebeka's tears. This is song is more painful emotionally. I moved to the coast, under a mountain Swam in the ocean, slept on my own At dawn I would watch the sun cut ribbons through the bay I'd remember all the things my mother wrote That we don't eat until your father's at the table We don't drink until the devil's turned to dust Never once has any man I've met been able to love So if I were you, I'd have a little trust it's about Mom

One day just maybe you'll stumble over my comment, only my hopes may dream. Though I still try, and for that matter here's what I have to say. My names Perri Anderson 12 years of age born and raised an our from the big apple next to many a farms. When attending school the dreadful bus ride is my transportation through the whole of last year and the start off the this one every day I listen to this song on repeat. Since I've been playing soccer on the bus rides to and from games I listen to this song, so I'm telling you James Vincent McMorrow, if you ever decide to listen, that your world stops when you stop and I know right now for a wonderful singer you shouldn't stop or else some may stop along with it, I may stop along with it,

Emma DeStefano - To answer your question (based on the lyrics). It's evident that he grew up in a Christian/Catholic household (him being Irish). Consequntly he was taught the Bible along with certain religious principles from an early age. It's been roughly 2000 years since Jesus Christ was crucified. In Jesus' lifetime he had desciples/followers. Peter, James, Andrew & John were desciples who were fishermen, who Jesus' called to follow him while they were mending there nets on the Galilean sea. Jesus asked them to go out and fish again after they had caught nothing all day. Reluctantly they obliged and their faith was rewarded when they cast their nets on the "right" side of the boat (John 21:6) thus the reference in the lyrics. As James Vincent McMorrow grew up he became disillusioned with religion and rejected God probably due to the violence in Ireland which stemmed primarily from religious wars. However He left himself a "Safety-net/a way back" if you will. Namely - "So if in the future I might need myself a savior I'll remember what was written on that wall" Hope this helped.

Great song. Haunting as it is powerful. Beautiful work. Truely hard hitting and amazing. It reminds me that there's still hope for the music industry. When I turn on the radio, and I hear autotune and unoriginality in lyrics, and I wonder what we've come to. But I listen to this and I realize good music never left us. It's just become a lot harder to find, and that much more special when you do. This is real music. Powerful, simple, beautiful.
