Everytime Ella Purnell is in a videogame adaptation, her fingers can't catch a break. This is the second time now.

At least it's not the same finger and hand. XD

she needs to be cast 8 more times, losing a different finger each time

Everyone seems to overlook Singed, so much that they don't realize this old guy in season 2 is the one who created shimmer in season 1, the one who created the "monster potion", the one who narrowly survived a blast in the head from Jinx's blue-ball monkey bomb, the one who Viktor met as a child in that cave with the big salamander creature named Rio, the one who saved Jinx and gave her her new powers, the one who could be seen near the end of the season 1 finale looking at a picture of a child and then up at a beast he's doing work on..

I dont see how this show can be topped animation wise. Masterpiece, by the sounds of it we've barely scratched the surface story wise.

Ghost in the shell is almost 40 now... Arcane is very good anyway. Just a bit overhyped imo. If i have to give an award i'd say the best animated works ever are Metropolis by Otomo or Ponyo by Myazaki. (both pretty old by now)

Ghost in the Shell is genuinely revolutionary. Same with Akira! New heights are always reached 🤘🏽

If Ekko is probably your favorite character in Arcane, you are gonna enjoy this ride. Just give it time.

I'm pretty sure it was Hailee Steinfeld (Vi's VA) who said it, but it's something that I feel sums up Vi's feelings about Jinx pretty well: "The tiniest bit of Powder comes through and she stops"

Jayce, Ekko and Heimerdinger having a Spider-Verse acid trip
Vi and Cait with an absolutely heartbreaking scene that mirrors what happened between Vi and Powder at the end of Act 1 season 1. Fitting it happens at the exact same moment in S2. (Cait is my favorite and I was fuming over her decisions during the week wait between Acts 1 and 2.)

This is the episode Ambessa became my favorite character of the season, and just like silco was last season it was in episode 3

VFX artists react have a video where they go into the animation of Arcane and how it is done.. really recommended!

You know, Vi vs Jinx is actually just an average sibling interaction

James you have no idea how far the lore goes in League of Legends. You are only seeing two of the factions with a very small bit of a couple others. I really want to see the next season delve into Freljord (Viking motif), Bilgewater (Pirates), Ionia, or Demancia. Plus there are literally 6 other factions they could do.

did you watch bridging the rift? series of 5 yt videos going through how they produced season 1 including animation style and everything. Would be a must watch in my book

I hate so much the storytelling of this series as i like the animations... A dystopic upper/lower city scenario with an utopic leadership truly moved by the best intentions. Slico is the rebel that got murdered by the fellows that sold themselves to the enemy, yet he is the only one shown exploiting the poor and yet randomly not being able to betray them when needed by the plot... Vander sold the rebelion and tried to murder his fellow, but is regarded as an hero and is shown to care for the poors... It's corporate gaslighting. Yeah as you supposed lighting and reflection in 3D animation don't work like 2D. Is all rendered by the enginee... this on the other hand have a lot of needed knowledge in light diffusion physics as the settings need to be set accordingly, and while trial and error is obviously a thing for projects like this professionals are hired obviously. There is probably a good blend between 2 and 3D, anyway don't be tricked, even the paint like effect is done by a filter and this is with all chance a fully digital product.
