Getting some cheap bins/trays helps so much, maybe get one that can stick to the wall if you’re in the bathroom
@scarletblaine61663 ай бұрын
Hi, I know neither of you asked me, but here's an answer anyway, lol (from a fellow feral child) Make yourself a dedicated skin care space! (preferably not in your bathroom, my house has the tiniest bathrooms, and I relate to the cluttered counters!) I bought myself a small vanity on Amazon (I think it was like 150$ They had smaller ones, too) I also bought myself a skincare fridge, plopped it on my vanity, and bought a couple cheap organizers to insert into drawers. I moved ALL of my skincare and hair products to my vanity - some things go on the shelves, some in the fridge, and some in the drawers. It's been amazing. Not only do I have a place to sit down and do my skincare, but I FINALLY have a place to put ALL of my crap - skincare, my million bottles of hair products, normal stuff like lotion, deodorant, blah blah blah. It's been so nice having it all in one spot. I also got myself a little basket to take back and forth to the bathroom so I don't have to keep all my face wash on the bathroom counter. It feels super luxurious, AND it makes me look like I'm an organized human with my life together! Lol. It's a teensie bit of an investment, but I realized that if I'm willing to spend money on stuff that makes me happy or feel better, it was worth the money to dedicate an area to put all my stuff in.

Amazon prime day had it on sale, originally it’s 75 bucks when on sale, on sale for thirty bucks, fifty bucks when not on sale, course I think they jacked the price up when it went on sale to 75 but it was still a good deal, love love love it ❤

Can you talk about the ingredients and research into lush cosmetics skin care? Lots of physical exfoliants, had a recent call back of their million dollar sunscreen and other suncare products as their formulas were not working correctly and was not actually blocking any UV filters similar to the strength the label suggested
@xFolkmore3 ай бұрын
I used to work there and can give you a rundown of my main take aways: - everything contains fragrance. there’s maybe 2-3 skincare products that don’t have an added fragrance. - all their exfoliating products are indeed rather harsh physical exfoliants like ground almond or salt except for one cleanser which is an enzymatic cleanser that utilizes fruit juices. - all their cleansers are clay based or have harsh surfactants in them (the surfactant of choice for them is SLS or SLES in all their products which may be ok if you’re not sensitive or dry at all). none of them i i personally feel would be ideal for dry or sensitive skin. or just a compromised skin barrier in general. they do have two cleansing balm type products (ironically also two of the only products in the entire store that have no fragrance) but they lack emulsifiers and are super hard to wash off fully. - they mainly utilize butters like cocoa butter, oils like jojoba oil as well as essential oils. other hydrators include fatty alcohols like cetearyl alcohol and other incredibly common ingredients. as someone who is acne prone, dry and sensitive I would never put their stuff on my face. ever. that, and the formulas are nothing impressive especially for the price. their pricing mainly comes from the fact that all their products are freshly handmade and their supply chain is much more ethical, so at least that’s good. They also pay a much better wage than comparable jobs which is also nice and more ethical. - their toner waters are just water with steeped ingredients which makes them fragrant and have some of the benefits of them. but not worth it imo I personally believe that their products are for the people who are in their cult following and people who want clean/natural beauty lol. Funnily enough, their surfactants and preservatives of choice would actually opt them out of a lot of definitions of clean beauty (even though they’re fine from a safety standpoint, we all know clean beauty claims lol). After working there I would never buy any of their skincare or haircare. their soap, bath bombs and lotions are fine for the body if you’re not sensitive. The price point of their skincare reflects their more ethical business practices and fresh ingredients however if you’re going to spend that amount of money on skincare I’d rather something that’s gonna work a little harder for me.
