Your view is simplistic and sided with wicked, wealthy people. I know you think this is really the “fair” way of doing things, but you’re advocating greed and the diminishment of true brotherhood. The gospel was lost on you.

If Christians voluntarily helped their neighbors, there would be no call for socialism. It is only because there is an absence of Christian neighborly love that there is a call for socialism.

Feedback; Paul wasn't the guy who walked towards a heavenly profit until Jesus asked him why he was killing his people. Than he probably became the most productive Christian on heart. I think the same can be said about anyone that isn't successful in business. The man with few talents, the man with poor results, can be successful too. I do not think that we can take for granted that this rule apply in all. Because with Jesus, everything is possible. Also you used that saying from the world into your preaching; That all the money would end-up going back to where it is if it was shared, after 5 years. This saying from the world isn't proved nor tested. What we know for sure is that the one's that have money can make more of it. Simply because of the world economy and the simple principle that with money you can do something and that without, you will have a hard time making a breakthrough. Despite my critique, I enjoy your preaching and I appreciate your sense of humor. I think, the lesson here, is to never blend the non proven theories in any preaching.

He starts out saying that Church should not be involved in politics, but then goes on to talk about socialism and capitalism, which is politics.
@JamesWKnoxSermons5 жыл бұрын
If you go back and watch weeks, months years before the sermon what he is saying is that we as a church should not dwell on politics. It should not be point of topic on a weekly basis. As politics will not matter in eternity. What will matter is what you did with and for Jesus Christ. He does not make a regular habit of talking about politics. We preach Jesus Christ and him crucified. There is nothing scripturally that would prohibit one from speaking on the topic. Many, many churches get too involved in politics trying to bring about righteousness. Only Jesus Christ will be able to accomplish this. There is nothing wrong with trying to do right; but the bible teaches we are to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. When you forsake that command to involve yourself in politics you are getting off the coarse. When standing before God on judgment day its unlikely he will ask you your political view points. With that being said with the push of socialism or any other topic for that matter we are to observe it and judge it according to the scriptures. If a topic, agenda, government is contrary to the Holy Scriptures (KJV) you as a Pastor should warn others. This is the point of the message. So yes he says we should not be involved, he did not say we should never speak on the matter. CJ

Reckon Jesus ever got paid for his work as a Carpenter? Bet he did the best work for the best pay. Stop, look at your comment or reply. Does it look petty? It's a Wonderful Life, James Stewart movie.....His father's busness slogan was: The only thing you keep in this life is what you give away.... Bet he worked hard to earn the things he gave away......
@JamesWKnoxSermons5 жыл бұрын
Mike, how much was he paid. Do you have a verse? Its not a matter of what he was paid. No says you should not be paid for your work. There are specific passages that also deal with that topic. Your comment at the bottom is key. " He gave away" that we are not against. We are not for it being taken way from those that work and given to those how will not or choose not to work. The point of this particular sermon is when the government or anyone takes your money and gives it to someone else is not biblical. If you or any others want to work for $1000.00 a week and you want to freely give your $1,000.00 away to others; praise the Lord. We clearly understand and appreciate government agencies, as they are necessary. We are not guaranteed equality from the government or God. New Testament believers are not promised riches by God on earth. We are not all fortunate to live in a nation that is as wealthy as america. New Testament believers are promised spiritual blessings in heavenly places. We pray you continue to listen to other sermons on our channel and hope to be a blessing and encouragement to those who listen. CJ

@JamesWKnoxSermons5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for you comments. But look on the channel. Look at the online catalog of materials. In some years he preaches over 600 times in a year. Are you aware of how many of those sermons are political topics? I would say 2 or 3 possibly. Secondly he is preaching to a local congregation. Have you considered that some that attend the local church in Florida may have requested the teaching on the topic? As he usually does he compares all that Jesus & the word of God teaches with what the world teaches. Then he and teaches men to follow Jesus Christ and the word of God over what a republican, democrat, socialist or any party teaches. Unfortunately too many professing Christians put their hopes in a political party to bring forth righteousness on earth. Therefore it is a topic we feel should be discussed. Our hope is that you will continue to listen to the other teachings and you will quickly learn that he promotes Jesus Christ continually . CJ

@rsar615 жыл бұрын
separation of church and state The principle that government must maintain an attitudeof neutrality toward religion. Many view separation of church and state as required by the First Amendment(see also First Amendment). The First Amendment notonly allows citizens the freedom to practice any religionof their choice, but also prevents the government fromofficially recognizing or favoring any religion.

I love this video and have shared it BUT FYI you said, “if you JUST want to be a fireman...” as if it’s not a good well paying job. My husband and son in law are firefighters and they get paid extremely well they love their jobs and had to be very well qualified to be firemen. If your church or home is on fire do not call JUST a fireman...call the ifolks who are sitting there laughing with you.
@JamesWKnoxSermons6 жыл бұрын
We're sorry for this, and truly meant no disrespect to the firefighters who serve all of us so well.
@thecommandmentoffaith17556 жыл бұрын
Don't be so sensitive he was not talking about your husband or son in law. Would your husband or son in law do what they do for free? Because every fire department that i know of is voluntary. If your family gets paid they are extremely lucky. I have many friends who are fire fighters and they do not even get a penny. I would never complain about fire fighters making great money. But you should understand most fire fighters are not as fortunate as your family. And they would quickly tell you it is not a good well paying job for them.
@JamesWKnoxSermons6 жыл бұрын
Also in addition to the comment above we also have a fireman that grew up in this church and still attends and is a brother in Christ. I am sure that absolutely no disrespect was intended. It was absolutely not meant to be presented in the way you received it. CJ

Commandment # 10...says to be self sufficient . Do not covet anything your neighbor has. Not his car, business, servant, wife. anything. Get it yourself . Capitalism ..ot socialism. IF YOU WANT..you are asked to give to those who need it. IF YOU WANT TO...not mandated.
@carolmartin87815 жыл бұрын
The bible did not say get it yourself. If there was any implication it would be to be thankful for what you already have. You don't know what you're going to get in the future. This is called living in the now. Also as the preacher pointed out socialism has been alive and well for at least 75 years. Capitalism and Socialism have been living side by side for a long time. This helps create checks and balances. It can't be just one or the other. There's ideals and then there's reality.

Yes, let's not deal in politics and get our hands dirty. Let's let the HEATHEN be in charge. Such a GREAT STRATEGY don't you THINK? But still a good sermon. But your sermon also tells us why we need to be involved, and that is to give the political jobs to people who have talents. Of course if you want to be a door mat for those HEATHEN that are in charge then stay home and not vote. Why do you think that many christians threw the politicos out, and voted for TRUMP? Many of us did it because we were convinced of his talents, and he would increase our talents. I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Is Mr TRUMP lazy? Does Mr TRUMP work hard? Does Mr TRUMP work to multiply our talents. That is exactly what the President is doing, and that is what all the ten tribes are supposed to do. If you are HEBREW then you are not to have your hand out but you are to produce enough so that you can not only take care of your family but you can help temporarily those that are down. Yes the most important thing is our spiritual life, and the most important thing we are to do is to show ourselves approved before God a WORKMAN. You are saved by grace but you are rewarded by your works, and your works are taken and woven into the fine linen that you wear in heaven. No WORKS then NO FINE LINEN, or clothes to wear. But this is a good sermon but I fail to see why one would not be involved. I for one do not want to be under the Heathen of the world. Do you know who the Heathen are? Our last president was one of them, and he is nothing but a COMMUNIST. God Bless.
@tslilbearshoppe98706 жыл бұрын
Tom Jackson he is not saying to ignore he is saying dont mix the two ever because its dangerous. Further you are supposed to trust God and vote your conscience.
@tslilbearshoppe98706 жыл бұрын
your "works" will not get you into heaven or rewarded as you say. Your heart will. Jesus knows your thoughts. He see's your intent. Our last president wanted to bring America to it's knees and he almost did. Is Trump perfect? Far from it but at least he is giving 100% to the title of President and taking his job seriously and trying to do his best for America. He never spends tax payer money on anything personal. He takes no paycheck. He includes our Father God in his presidency. He keeps America going financially and he regained respect for America around the world. So in my book....he's a keeper.
