I've been a huge fan of Jamie since watching his talent in the Mortal Instruments (City of Bones). Rewatched him in Sweeney Todd and realized it was a few years before his Mortal Instruments role. Then seen him in Harry Potter AND Fantastic Beasts. But whenen I heard "well well" in Stranger Things... I immediately pushed pause and had to look up why he was just an orderly on this show when he should be in a bigger role.... 😭 And ruined the ENTIRE 4th season for myself. I think that's because they had a mic with a pitch shifter here and in all the other interviews he was asked they wanted him to do it with his real voice. You need a lot of vocal warmup to lower your voice in that register and not damage your voice. The fact they had a mic with pitch effects on it made it possible this time.

They also didn't spring it on him out of nowhere. When you go on big talk shows generally your publicist or someone on your team does a "pre interview" with the show to approve questions. So Jamie would have been aware and able to prepare himself that this was coming.

Yeah in the interview they did something to make it in deeper. Jamie said in an interview that he has to do some sort of prep to be able to do it, there is video somewhere on youtube though where you can hear only his voice while recording it, it‘s insane!

I remember watching Jamie in Sweeney Todd like 14~15 years ago. He was literally a baby back then and he had such great singing voice. His performance as 001/Vecna was AMAZING. As 001 he was so intense and charming, as Vecna he scared the hell out of me🤣 Can’t wait for the next season.
