@@popweaselcrunch What has that got to do with this, congress is spending money out the Wanzo, claiming it is helping people, maybe some it is but they act like it's helping every person, & it's not, the gas price has not helped many, if it has come down it still cost just as much to fill a tank, I still pay same amount as I did months ago, No big change but Biden & Karine act like it is such a big deal, for many it's not, saves them maybe a few cents big whoop, a few cent in these times is not worth it.

@@SpaceTravel1776 I don't have a problem with spending I do very little of it once my bills are paid, & I keep my bills down as much as possible, which is not saying all that much, If Biden & Dems think it's so easy to live on paychecks like mine would invite them to try, & why is SS only done once a month, if they really wanted to help people they would do SS & SSD twice a month just like a regular paycheck, but no it's only once

Merely tried to patch a gaping wound that was created by the repeal of Glass Steagall with the measly Dodd Frank. So of course you work the system and waste your time explaining to these people why you did what you did for nothing to happen after.

Well said my friend. The scandal is that the people in the committee all take the lobbying cash. They want the power, so they sell themselves to the lobbies, who promise they will make a difference, and run defence for the politicians problems, so long as they are useful. That's what the Kings used to use the Religious leaders for...to keep them in power. If the USA want's to get it's house in order, it should stop the relentless accepted corruption of lobbying. What would the forefathers have said? They didn't put something in the constitution to stop lobbying and corruption?

So why aren't the interest rates on savings accounts rising along with the rates hiked each month by the federal reserve board? The money spent on wasteful marketing to try to get customers to switch banks (every month I'm offered $300 by Chase to open an account there) should be returned to your long-term customers as a loyalty reward.

It was embarrassing and childish from her. Disrespectful to the ceo's as you said and screaming and yelling over her allotted time. Her big issue didn't even make sense, Zelle reimburses unauthorized transactions. Many people use it to great success. They even explained to her that fraud is a tiny amount of transactions on that system. If someone is going to lose their house on Zelle, don't use the system and use some other system for transferring money (which has just as much potential of leading to fraud). How is this the ceo's fault?
@DAVIDGOMEZ-nc6fh

She was very upset because the banks took 2 months to get her the numbers she requested but that’s her fault. Why didn’t she follow up or call the CEOs directly? All these guys are very powerful but most are very respectful and humble. In addition, I think most people that use Zelle are very tech savvy and educated and rarely send money to the wrong place.

Loaded narrative at the beginning of the meeting. Here is my question to those members of congress: why don't you institute financial education in the public school system, rather than allow the large majority of citizens to enter adulthood with no basic concepts of finance? Second observation is that the U.S. Govt has an absolutely terrible track record of managing it's finances, something that is at the detriment of it's citizens who ultimately have to carry the burden of your incompetent management of money that you forcefully tax and collect from U.S. citizens. Third observation is how ironic it is that members of congress are scolding the banks when they are the ones who are exercising major conflicts of interests in their stock trading in companies that they are involved in the regulations of, an absolutely unacceptable corruption. Not to mention the exorbitant salaries of members of congress. Fix those things, then, and maybe then I will perhaps listen to what you have to say with a grain of salt, but actually a grain of salt is too generous. I would say one molecule would be more appropriate. This is coming from someone who doesn't even like big banks. But compared to Congress, they could be regarded as saints.

I have been waiting to see these proceedings since 2008, when JPMorgan Chase acquired Washington Mutual Bank for their retail sector at a bargain basement price. I lost my home and job with that move by JPMorgan, as did a few thousand others in my company. I declared bankruptcy at 26 years old, after trusting that a bank, my employer, did their due diligence and wouldn't put me in a bad way. I was totally wrong, and I've paid for that for decades. Thank you to this committee for holding true enemies of public welfare and well-being accountable to the broad reach of their respective signatures on the dotted line...profit. To everyone's detriment, excepting their pocketbooks of those of their respective shareholders. I wonder, what is the endgame of this monumental competition of corporate greed? At what point will it be handled as a cancer that is killing it's host?

Were any of your customers getting out of the crypto virtual token garbage bubble, or only banks? I too think something big might be about to go down but not to banks...but a global crypto token crash. To pennies. Think about it, everyone knows about crypto now. It's not done anything successful. There is no benefit of being invested in it unless, it keeps going up in value based on speculation. So it needs new speculators to keep it's value. That won't work. So, now there is a buyer vacuum, it has to crash to pennies. The demand has gone because no one wants to buy something that we know might crash shortly, because it has no value. Why would people continue to speculate on something once it has shown it's garbage. You cannot buy a cup of Joe with crypto, and the blockchain or DL tech that has admin value is separate to crypto tokens. You now have so many crypto tokens, there is no scarcity. Quite the opposite. And the only reason they were created, was to try and capture speculative wealth on a junk token. It is a circular ponzi scheme that is loosing velocity.

These CEOs and those thousands of others like them -- sickening... just simply sickening. This hearing, of course, doesn't center on the top investment banks but rather on that of the commercial banks alone. In that wise, let us ask, Where's the bank that sets at the top-of-the-heap: Goldman Sachs, perhaps the most extortionate brat in the bunch? Ay the descriptive word 'brat' is the right word, indeed. Bear in mind that these said CEOs, their ethics, ay their behaviors or rather, the lack thereof -- boys, city dolls, not men -- and what forthcomingness they undertake to demonstrate in this hearing -- prove false, complicitous -- crooks all of them. Reserve all laudatory comments; too soon is it for that. Ay endeavor to question these CEOs' lack of honesty and of the senate, their lack of depth. Trust little if anything that they say or affect to convey otherwise; rather, regard their testimonies as consequential shams, at best, alleged takes on sincerity. Of all the senators and CEOs who speak Louisiana Senator John Neely Kennedy (R) dishes out the most alarming, self-righteous dribble in this segment of the hearing, proving wholly disconnected to the reality of what millions of American citizens have hitherto now undergone -- the lower-, middle- or upper classes notwithstanding. "Uber-Woke Sweepstakes?" he quips. What "Uber-Woke Sweepstakes?" I mean, you'd have to be the likes of who he 'is' and 'was' in the first place to think as he does. Alas, silence speaks loudly, to wit, not a few of these CEOs agree with him if for no other reason than by their silences, which proves nothing less than, if by default -- complicity! The United States is now and has been for decades existed in a socio-economic condition requiring mitigation proffered by both political parties. Indeed, neither party alone proves capable of affording the USA economic and social solutions otherwise, but together, then yes, perhaps solutions would prove probable to occur in greater measures for the first time. Else prison sentences will certain sure bring chicanery to a screeching halt. The likes of these crooks or call them choir boys, are for certain the least capable of serving jail time ... they just can't handle even the slightest of such a suggestion. Yet were this the final conclusion and result, we could guarantee that they'd come honest -- fast and in the right way.

These banks also don't pay their community reinvestment act (CRA) obligations. Funds that municipalities need to make improvements and survive. They reach into states where they do not have branches or ATMs and extract wealth and skirt their legal obligation to reinvest into the community.

Best thing you could do, give everyone 850 credit score, crash hard the real estate market, stop people from flipping property, stop corporations from buying single family homes, I think that would get us on the right path. it would get people out of apartments and into homes that they can make beautiful, in turn the homeless would have access to affordable rental apartments....

I'm an old immigrant, new to KZbin. Make no mistake, these guys are as ruthless as they come. I love capitalism, and I don't believe it's capitalism for us to pay to bail these guys out of the catastrophic results of their greed. Next time there's a collapse, and it will come, they should be allowed to go under.

Last time banks were allowed to fail, it took average Americans 15 years to recover and that too on the back of WW2 war production. The ‘bail out’ actually was a loan and all it was paid back by 2013. We (the people) made billions in interest. Please read more.
